Couldn't agree more charlie, that's why I didn't go that route. As stand alone or with shorties they are fantastic imo but when you add long tubes it becomes a loud raspy mess!

What if resonators were used.

I might be mistaken but I think Charlie had the LTs/roush/resonators setup on his YouTube page. He also had the same set up I had with LTs/pype bombs/resonators (which sounds BA btw) haha.

Does the pipe after the cat make much of a difference? I found headers, highflow cat x pipe, and an sct for 1000$

Should I find the after cat pipe too?

Any word on that one that uses the stock cats? Looks like a really good deal. I was about to drop some dough on the BBK catted x, but I would much rather have an H pipe. I saw MRT carries a catted H pipe a swell, but it has mixed reviews and is pretty pricy.

LOUD 2012 v6

Recently I put in a pair of 3" Pypes high flow cats added to my exhaust system with shorties. It is louder.
It is the factory cats that keep it quiet with the shorties. Once removed, just as loud.
Only problem is the factory cats are restrictive.
You can go the long tube route and add cats before the mid pipe?
The bbk catted mid pipe sounds diff than my setup (frpp xpipe + Pypes 3" cats).
BBKs mid pipe might use 2.5" cats.

MAC just came out with these mid pipes for our models so no one has reviewed them yet. But MAC has produced these for previous mustangs. The reviews I've read we're good and bad. The pro chamber mid pipes supposedly produces the most power over the X and H pipes. And they do create the best muscly V8 sound but the quality of there exhaust's have always been iffy. After I read enough reviews from people who try'd these out on our models I'll make my decision on whether to get one or not. The BBK x/h pipe comes with high flow cats that will make more power than any x/h pipe that reuses the stock cats and they'll be a lot louder and raspier but since I live in CA I'll have to get the MAC mid pipe that reuses the stock cats. I'm just hoping the wider diameter, pro chamber, and resonator delete will produce more power and give more of a deep V8 sound.

Here's what I did to my 2011: BBK LT Headers, O/R x-pipe and MBRP catback exhaust. Dump the Roush ABs. It cost me a few bucks but I am thrilled with the result. No rasp at all. To me it sounds like a '66 HiPo 289 (for those who are old enough to remember!). You won't find many videos of the MBRP system but it is top quality. No figment issues. If I can find the time I will post a sound clip.

Yes def. go with that. Just installed it on my car along with MAC LTs and pypes exhaust and it sounds BEASTLY no rasp whatsoever.

Nice, sounds good. I think your the first person on this forum to have the MAC mid pipe installed on a 3.7 V6. Post a video of the sound if u can, a lot of people would appreciate it.

Don't worry I plan to. Problem is I still need to get a custom tune b/c it's not good for the car to run with these parts with the factory tune. Also I don't drive my 'Stang during the winter. Once it gets nicer out and I've had some time to break my new parts in a bit then I'll post some videos.

It'd run rich that's all. It won't damage anything. Ask Lund he'll tell u the same, besides running on the rich side and not seeing any gains until the PCM is calibrated to utilize the new exhaust mods.
