SCT

Looks like all my problems have been solved. The SCT tuner I was sent had a bug/virus on it that has ruined my ECU. All this time the prob was right I front of me. Gunna have a little chit chat with them tomorrow because they have some stuff to fix.

I've never heard of a SCT tuner with a virus...that's a new one. How did you determine it was a virus?

I wouldn't be driving around in that car, what if the "virus" caused some sort of steering/brake failure?

My throttle body was stock closed on me sometimes until I had to get a new throttle body. Those things break sometimes. The electronics

Something becoming corrupted is plausible, a virus is not even a possibility.

As for the ECU being damaged, a tune is a software issue, thus should be fixable through software means (a reflash). If the ECU were actually physically damaged, the car would likely not function at all.

Also, with the throttle in this car being drive by wire, there could be some electrical issue with the throttle body.

As far as having steering/brake failure, that is also not possible. The brakes are a mechanical system, they do not need a computer or electricity to function, same with the steering, although it is electric power steering, the car is still capable of being steered with no electricity. I do both of these all the time when pulling into my driveway, put the car into neutral and shut the car off. The car is still capable of stopping and steering.

Lmao a "Virus" bro it's called a ****ty tuning company and u need to do a KAM reset. The TB issue is actually well known. Ford will fix it why spend money at a shop for warranty work.

It's the car not the tune then cuz MPT is top notch. I love their tunes and actually they have been the only other tuning company besides Lund to fix my issues on my 3.7 now I'm tuned by Lund alone but I like going to MPTs Ghost Cam every once in awhile.
