Gt500 exhaust on v6

So I have spent about two hours trying to figure out where I can buy gt500 exhausts for my 2014 v6. From what I have read these seem to be the hot set up. Where have you all purchased from?

Besides the magnaflow everything else has too much rasp for a daily driver. Any thoughts on a deeper tone than stock without rasp? Or is the v6 just going to have rasp regardless? .....and I understand it's not a v8, it cannot be what it is not.

Thanks all,

Did you use the search bar at all? Jk, American muscle sells the whole setup valence and all. Good luck with it.

Duh, looked too long could not see the trees through the forest. Ok looked at it and that's too much modification for a brand new car. Other suggestions?

Bassanis man, nice deep sound and no drone. I did the boss 302 balance on my car and it was surprisingly easy after I stopped freaking out about cutting into the car.

Borla S-Type

A perfect blend. Deep, yet rasp when you mash on it. You can either creep through you neighborhood or make everyone turn there heads. Best bang for your buck

You have to take off the rear bumper which is not bad just a little time consuming. From there you can see the line that needs cut since the bumper is the same on all 13-14 ford made a pre-cut line. I then used a reciprocating saw and a dremel to make the cutouts. Finally the valence snaps into place and you can then reinstall your bumper.

I purchased mine used from a GT owner who went a different route. I had to have a muffler shop modify the end tube that connects to the pipe (I'm guessing you saw my post on this). Shop over on Ebay for these.

I did get mine before they became popular (about 2 years ago); they still have that sweet tone for me.

I did read your post, ...many of your posts. But yes your explanation and photos, yours is the only single tip setup I have been able to find, when did ford release the dual tip?

Did you do the change on personal taste, or in order to make the Bassanis fit?

For what you want- NO RASP & DEEP RUMBLE

Magnaflow Streets They may cost more but they are Stainless Steel and actually fit perfect right out of the box with no problems. They just plain sound good on my 3.7 V6 and they also look great. ( NO DRONE & NO RASPY SOUND)

I have listened to a lot of YouTube clips and I think mag aglow streets sound the closest to what I'm looking for. But it looks like the gt500 maybe a cheaper option, if the sound is on par.

Ditto...I ended up with the Magnaflow Streets as well. I happen to have a pair of GT 500 nufflers off of an 07. Not sure if those would work but im going to be selling them soon.

I have the Magnaflow street #15595 on my 2014. I purchased them off of Amazon for $500 a few weeks ago. I see they are on there for $520 now. I really love the sound they make. There is very little drone while accelerating and none at cruising speed.

Here's a pic of mine. #15595 fits my 2014 perfectly. I tried to post a link for the axle-backs but it won't post because of waiting on a moderator to approve the post.

I first got wind of the GT500 axlebacks from Bucko. Here's my post regarding having a muffler shop install them on my 13. You need to look for them as a GT exhaust at retailers as they don't fit the 3.7 without modification. Check AMuscle for single tip version.

So if I change out my axle back, does that void any warranty from ford?

No

If that were the case there would be no warranty on any new Muscle or Pony cars. It seems that 99% of the buyers of cars like ours always change the mufflers soon after buying the car.
You won't have a problem just putting on a set of axlebacks or a CAI.
Now putting in a custom tune is a different story.

Yeah, I built my own CAI on my charger and ran with the diablo predator 93 CAI tune. That was easy, when I needed service I just ran the tool to swap out tunes. But that makes sense, I never took off the CAI when service was done. Good point. Shot of my home brew.

Even tuners for some things they won't notice or care about. I asked this question when I signed for the car. I said "what will void the warranty cause I have parts in the mail already"? Funny thing is they actually sell aftermarket performance warranties now that will cover all the aftermarket parts you put on and if those then damage the car it is still covered. Was like an extra $2500-$3500 for the 5 year loan. I opted not to do it but even so they told me as long as they can determine what failed or went wrong was not directly related to whatever aftermarket mods you have done they will still cover it all under the standard warranty. Just thought it was cool that with people modding muscle cars you can actually cover yourself now. Not sure if all dealers do this but it was an authorized large Ford dealer I purchased from.
