Married bama tuner?

I have found some bama tuners locally that are cheap but are married to a mustang. Are they able to be bought and remarried to mine? I know nothing on the tuners.

Yes if they have custom tunes you may need to get new tunes loaded but the tuner can be used on different cars

$150 for 3 custom Bama tunes from americanmuscle.com they take all the mods you have done and send you a custom tune in an email you plug the tuner into a computer and update the new tunes and your good to go!

$50 for the locked tuner
$150 to unlock it. (Might be shipping fees or not 100% check with sct)
$150 for bama tunes for life.
comes out to $350
A new one from AM/bama (that comes with free tunes for life) goes for $380.
& I'm not sure what the last question means?

And with the bama tuner do they come from bama?

The tuner is an SCT tuner, sold by American Muscle, and programmed by BAMA

That's what everyone does...not worth it to try and get a used one you get unlimited tunes for life and a custom inscribed plate if you get a new on for basically the same cost...

It sounds like these guys have all given you great advice so far. In most cases, it's actually more expensive or the same price to buy a used tuner. $150 to unlock the device and $150 to buy into free tunes for life already puts you at $300. A new tuner is $379.99 before the 6% MustangEvolution discount. That being said, it obviously make sense to just purchase a new tuner that will come pre-loaded with custom tunes for your exact modifications!

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

If the tuner is locked, then I would agree with Dan at AM. However, if you can buy an unmarried one, then it can save you some bucks. If you buy a used one, do yourself a favor, and ask that the seller provides a picture of the tuners screen indicating it is "unmarried", and that it still has a number of "marrages" left. Most tuners allow themselves to be married/unmarried to 5 cars total. So, if you are the third person to buy an unmaried tuner, it would have 3 connections left. You can use it, unmarry it from your vehicle when you sell your car, and sell it with 2 connections left. Also remember, that when you unmarry a tuner from your car, the stock tune is/has to be set back to your vehicle.

This can help negotiate the price of the tuner. However, your trusting the seller in that the pictures of the screen shots of the tuner for sale are legit. Let the buyer beware.

I'd be careful with the location of that plate, I'd hate the air bag go off and that nice bama plate becomes a projectile.
