I want 4.10 gears on my 2012 mustang v6 automatic . Will it still pull hard at around 65 Or 80. Don't care about gas milage.

Read the "Entire" Truth about gears threads. Then decide.
It will also have charts farther down in the thread that show some gears make you go slower in 1/4 mile.

What is the real reason you want 4.10's? Because like a shotgun having 4:10 gears is the thing to have?

Do you know of anyone with 3.15 gears. The 2.73s arent horrible I just want to get rid of some of the lag and keep the rpms down.

That is what I wanted to do, but the 3.31 holds that role. My Dealer said the for the price of the Best gear guy in town under warranty to put 3.31 gears in my car I would be disappointed and go with 3.55s. I am glad I did.

If I was able to get 3.31s on the car I wanted at first purchase; that would have been "just fine", but the cost of the gears I did agree and it is night and day difference, that the 3.55s I am glad it did.

I do drive long tours that 3.73s would kill me on, I don't think you would see much difference on 3:15s. If you like that top speed I would suggest 3.31s... Bucko can chime in as he is the HyWay master of 3:31 and long haul.

What are your rpms at 70mph with the 3.55s. I have a set of 3.31s my friend gave me with 2800miles on them, I guess with the 3.15 I was trying to find that majic dd gear. Thanks for the imput im just weighing my options out, the headers and midpipe are next then the gears and tune.

I cant tell you that right now, the car is locked in the stable until proper weather.

The truth about gears thread should give you that info...

I have 3.31s on my Mustang and compared to my friends 2014 2.73s you can definitely tell the difference. I'm still having to hit the gas pedal on most turns though and I heard 3.73s would take care of that issue. With that in mind I'm also still debating which to get 3.73s or 4.10s. I don't do very much highway driving, but exactly how much of a difference do the 4.10s have over the 3.73s and are they worth getting with the extra loss of MPG? Been waiting for some advice!
