exhaust help

Hi guys,
Well I got my v6 stang around 6 months back and its about time I start up with mods.
I really need your advice

I live in UAE, and im looking to get my self an axle back and an intake. As for the intake I have decided I will go for airaid, but I need suggestions on the exhaust, I have gone graxy youtubing videos of exhausts and trying to decide which I shpuld go for..the cops here just ****tards and so im looking for a muffler which would make my car sound authoritative and the same time not attract any attention.

I have been looking in 3 exhausts
1) ford racing axle back
2) roush
3) magnaflow street series

Please help me out here.

Thanks

Hi Istallion,

#1- Ford Racing Sports Axle Back they are Borla Stingers and stay sane but deep. Not Obnoxious, but deep and also nice on long freeway drives I do. Nice big Tips that say FORD on them. Its what I have and have GT guys ask me how to get their car to sound like that.

I was always told you guys could drive out to the dry lakes/desert and do all you wanted with your cars; I guess that is a Myth like many others in my life

If that is so I would avoid #2 choice at all costs, they are very loud if that is what you want but most find them obnoxious.

Edit: the sounds on videos are not what real life will sound like, sorry but they just dont reproduce the sound correctly.

I really like the ford racing and roush but my probelm is with the cops out here in UAE they are ridiculously strict but im taking my chances. Ny only concern is whther the ford racing are too loud or they are nice and subtle likr magnaflow streets, but when it cones to the streets I have been reading around that they are just a level up to the stocks, which I dont want I want a louder

Being a Roush owner I can say they are loud. If you worried about police attention because of your exhaust I'd suggest against them as they will definitely draw attention at wot! They are manageable around town but if pushed can easily get you in trouble.

Ford Racing Sports [Borla s-type] are legal in 49 american states. Law enforcement wont bother you with them unless you are making an excessive display of horse power.

Not sure if that same law applies where he lives. Op, have you checked what your local laws are regarding car exhaust? I would start there and base your decisions off of that. Where I am my Roush are illegal but that's the chance I take. I've had them over a year and haven't been bothered at all by law enforcement. I was even pulled over for a routine stop and the officer made no mention of the exhaust. Worse case scenario I get pulled over, get a 48hr, put my stocks back on, clear the 48hr and put them back on. But of coarse if it happened again I'd be in the system and would get a ticket of course.

Yes the Roush are loud. If you have any doubt then don't get them. I'm sure you'll find what your looking for. Good luck and post what you decide to go with.

Get the ford racing, when you're off the gas you can't hear them. Also little to no drone at highway speeds.

I have Magnaflow's on my 2013 V6 and they aren't to loud. Give off a nice deep sound and you can still hear your radio on the highway at a low volume.

I'm buying my parts from AM. With 50 posts on here you'll get a 6% discount. Make sure if you plan on putting in a tuner you go with a CAI that says tune required, so you actually get legit performance gains.

Humm... So as far as I know the only tune required for V6 Cyclone motor CAI is Steada. The other CAI like the Original Poster [OPS} will not nedd a tune. So that means Steada ROCKs the best... I had that on my 2013 V6

Well from everything I've researched if you're going to use a tuner the stock filter actually gives better results, unless you get a CAI that requires a tune. Which yes, Steeda is the only one I've found on AM for the 2011+ V6s that says tune required. Other wise getting a CAI you're only getting the sound and no performance.

Ford Racing Sports are similar to the Borla S-Types but not quite as loud. Stay away from the roush. The Magnaflow streets seem pretty mild, a decent amount of users on here have them but I never found anything special in them.

I love the sound mine give out. Not raspy or too loud on the inside. Yeah they aren't cheap.

Have you tried looking up Magnaflows? They are top quality and sound great. Just remember you pay for what you get. I'd save up and buy exactly what you want. Then you'll be happy with what you bought instead of dealing with what you could have had by saving up.

I havee brother. But the streets are something just one or two grades above the stock and that is something not what im looking for, the competition series dont really appeal to me. I think I am in love with ford racing, and I am going to go for that but now im just figuring out a way of getting it here for cheap.

Btw something off topic, you guys have to watch need for speed its like porn for all the mustang freaks..:p
