Automatic

I have an automatic 2011 v6 but don't have those + or - to change gears. Any way I can put it on my car or does that require a different tranny

I doubt it will be worth the trouble and the price to do that. You're better off just buying a 2013/2014. I'm sure there will be some nice ones on the market when the 2015's are available.

They may have the + or - to change gears "BUT"

They don't do much different then you can do just using the selector to go from drive to second to first.
The 2015 automatic is supposed to be having padel shifters but they won't act much different either. Just easier to use.
There is one place I like to lock my gear into third due to it is really curvy and fun. I just use the selector on my 2012 and it works fine.
I guess you already know that the black button on the side of your selector will stop the transmission from going into sixth gear. I have used it once in a while just to feel the acceleration and deceleration it provides on the two lane nice curvy highways.

I have it on my 13 and tbh it's only fun for a few mins. Nice to have but not worth spending $ to have it put on.

It is more than just getting a 2013+ shifter with the +/- button on it. You need the programming that controls the shifter as well - so not something you can really add.

Ronnie

It seems on mine (2012) like using that button on the side of the shifter not only locks out 6th, but also holds the car in each gear longer before it shifts.

On the 13-14 you don't even have to use the manual + or - in sport mode. You can put it in sport mode and the computer will auto shift it for you in sport mode.
FWIW, your car will be faster using sport mode with the computer auto shifting it for you then drive.

I have the select shift option on my '13 and like it was said before, more of a novelty than anything else. The sport mode is nice but actually changing gears gets annoying after a few min and I've owned more manuals than autos so it's not that I don't enjoy changing gears.

It doesn't come close to replicating the manual feel so I just don't even use it. Except sport mode haha.

Yes that is true Southern Cyclone, until you get a tune. Then it is reversed. The tune only mods drive shift points, and the sport mode is left stock in the talks I have had with 3 tuner shops. Seems they cant yet access that map in the tune tables.
