Muffler delete exhaust??

Has anyone else tried this?? Ive been running a muffler delete for a year and have been getting a lot of compliments.. I had a custome mendral bent pipe welded on where the mufflers used to be with 4 inch tips.. All together only cost me 300 dollars... Ur not gonna get a better sounding setup for that price. I also dropped around 40 pounds off the back end of my car. My question is, does this negatively effect the car? I've heard that it can effect backpressure resulting in less horsepower. Does that mean less backpressure reduces horsepower?

Ive had this setup on my car a little over two years now and it works perfect on my car. No backpressure that i know of. I love the sound as well and for $140 it is great

Hey,

I bet that actually does sound really good, I have heard a similar set up and was quite impressed.

Many of the aftermarket companies are starting to catch on to this, Magnaflow now has its Competition system that is literally a straight pipe as well with a tip, they surprisingly sound really good.

As long as you have catalytic converters on the car, your back pressure will be sufficient. You are releasing some back pressure which is giving you extra horsepower, but not enough to the point that the engine no longer burns fuel properly.

This set should be perfect, I would have now worries at all. I hope this helps, and if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch. Good luck!

Did you install everything urself?..
I Didnt touch anything myself
The same person removed my mufflers
Made the mendral bent pipes
And welded the whole kit up
Plus made extra hanger support
And the tips of course
