Rear gt emblem

Is there any way to get the gt emblem for the trunk! I'm making my v6 a gt clone, but I can't find the trunk emblem anywhere

Just steal it off a GT. Ha ha ha. Your gonna get a bunch of crap for posing your car as a V8. Besides, the V6 trunk emblem is far nicer than the plain, ugly Gt trunk emblem.

Until they hear it.....and it sounds like they already know what you have so it won't be much of a disguise. But if you want I would go with what bucko says.

F*** ya he is. I was reading a topic on here on here about people racing against stang owners "cloning" the Shelby and GT and how it leads to others thinking that our brother cars are slow when there really pulling against our sixers. Scrap that idea mannn

Well, if you hate the people bashing you wait till they see you with Gt emblems and 5.0 emblems. The verbal abuse will be 10 fold. They all know you have a V6 so your not fooling anyone bro. Certainly, its your car bro so do what you want but just can't say its cool. Your trying too pass off your car as a V8 to people when its not.

That's the complete tool bag, poser move and when someone tells you to pop the hood and see the 3.7 engine. There gonna be like WTF dude.

Besides the V6 trunk emblem is far nicer that's why its on the Boss! Ha ha ha! The Boss borrowed it from us 3.7 guys.

You can probably find one from a GT owner trying to get their hands on the V6 emblem. A lot of people don't like the GT emblem. In my opinion the v6 emblem looks a lot better though

I think its a shame that enthusiasts like the OP feel the need to pose their car as something its not, just to feel cool. Sticking 5.0 side emblems and a plain ugly GT trunk emblem doesn't make one cool or impress anyone. In fact, having a 5.0 is not really impressing anyone for that matter and truth be known, PEOPLE DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT WHAT CAR MODEL YOU HAVE!

Someone always has more, faster, bigger, nicer, etc. One should be proud of there ride, especially a mustang! Regardless of its engine size. One sticking on trunk emblems and hood emblems that don't belong on it, doesn't make someone's car super cool.

One should be proud of there V6 and make it their own. Keep it looking like its top shape, clean and just came out from the factory! Not give into the penis envy car clubs because the others have V8's and you don't. I belong to a local mustang club and I'm one of the few members who have a V6 model. Majority have V8's but funny how large majority of the V8 members have there cars always busted, crap is torn apart and barley runs on a consistent basis. Their ***** is always breaking or half apart but they have a big V8.

Anytime you try and get members to do a car cruise day , half have there crap broken and not running. I'm thinking I only may have a 3.7 but my ***** starts up 365 days a year and can go more than 10 miles down the road without fear of something exploding on it. They spend more time fixing crap that breaks then they do actually driving the mustang!

No need too be a complete poser and people will only make fun of you 10 times after they find out you have a V6 model and stuck GT emblems all over it. Be proud of your V6 man!

Ditto. I don't follow the logic of pretending your car is something its not just to "impress" others.

I love the look of the GTs, myself. I would advise creating the GT look on your 6, NOT acting like a GT.

Swap the bumper to the GT- I think it looks better, and the Cd is lower.

Put 3.7 badges on the side- don't use 5.0

Get a custom rear cap.

I know what people mean about wanting to CHANGE their v6- because lets be honest, many (not all, not most?) Of the people with 6s bought it because the color matched their outfit, or their broseph saw young weezy with one- NOT because they like the car, care about it, or anything else. If you want love the car, and want it to be more than some bland v6, make it your v6. Your current plan will be more trouble than you're looking for.

I bought my V6 to match my shoes and speedo! If OP likes the front fascia of the GT better, then that's one thing, I say go for it. Put the 3.7 emblems on the sides where the 5.0 emblems would go. That makes sense too me. Nothing wrong with the factory V6 trunk emblem but get a customized one if you want but good grief, NOT A GT EMBLEM! Ha ha ha!

Couldn't agree more with this. I bought my V6 for a couple of reasons. First, I've always loved mustangs. But when I bought it I was 19 and could barely afford the V6, much less the GT. On top of that the insurance would have absolutely skyrocketed had I gotten the GT. I absolutely love my car. Sure, I get crap about driving a V6 here and there, but in the end I am happy with it.

I also like the look of the GTs. I put the CS spoiler and side scoops on it, and I think it looks good. In the end, customize your car to your liking, not to impress others. Because in the end, as soon as you pop the hood or start the engine they're going to know you have a V6.

Your gonna do what you wanna do but I personally wouldn't change it. I catch crap from a few guys at work because I bought the V6 but I don't give a crap. I love it and it makes sense with my situation driving far for work and school everyday(100 miles/day). I tell them if they wanna give me the extra ten grand or so I may consider it, plus pay for my gas and insurance, lol. I also like how our back emblem, I just bought a new emblem for the front recently and now they both match. Good luck!

Install a turbo / supercharger, it's a smarter albeit more expensive way to make those people shut up, but you will never get crap from anyone for installing a tubro / supercharger

+10000000 OP I have a Shelby theme but will NEVER put the Shelby badges on it!!! I'm all for making your car anything you want, but don't put GT and 5.0 badges on it. if you hate people hating, times that by 10 if you badge it!

Boss C styling vinyl decal
Hood vinyl decal
20% Side and back window tint
50% Front windshield tint
Taillights tinted
Front and rear side light markers tinted
Plasti dip spoiler and pony grill emblem (white)
Glow wire interior on doors and dashboard area
Plati dip magnetic trunk backing
Painted Red Calipers
BMR decal

Most all of us will stripe our cars to perhaps resemble the Boss or the Shelby. Where most stop though is in the emblems. I personally would not place 5.0 emblems on the side of my Mustang, hood, or tail.

I'm proud of my V6. 305 crank HP is an acomplishment out of 6 cylinders. Back in the late 60's and early 70's, the V8's averaged this.

If you're worried about getting disrespected, wait until the turbo 4 cylinder 2015 Mustang hits the street; it's being boasted at 315 HP.

I don't know if I'm just having a bad day or what, but the fact that the OP wants to makes his 3.7 a GT clone just because his friends give him crap really irks me. The new V6s are no joke. Get some 3.73 or 4.10 gears, some sticky tires, and a good tune and watch their reactions as you keep up with and even beat some of their 5.0s at the track. Sounds like someone needs to find a better crew to hang out with.

[QUOTE=2011 Kona Blue;1976762]Totally agree. I personally think my pony looks nicer than tons of 5.0! Appearance Mods include the following:

Boss C styling vinyl decal
Hood vinyl decal
20% Side and back window tint
50% Front windshield tint
Taillights tinted
Front and rear side light markers tinted
Plasti dip spoiler and pony grill emblem (white)
Glow wire interior on doors and dashboard area
Plati dip magnetic trunk backing
Painted Red Calipers
BMR decal

Wow brother amazing work on your pony I love the dash board and door panel lighting and the pony on the break caliber is sweet too. I tuned her now im getting a aluminum drive shaft and Roush duel exhausts. when im done with her GT owners who usually stay with stock parts will be looking at my V6 with hearts in there eyes. its not about what you got its about what you do with it that matters!!

I actually have something else in the works for another appearance mod which should be hopefully done in the upcoming weeks. It should really make the car look great from the front and can't wait to share this new mod with you guys.

Side note; I also ordered this chrome plated license plate holder and screws!

Hey guy's-- OP ain't doing anything wrong

When he puts the GT stuff on his V6 nobody will ever know the difference.

I have all my friends fooled because they think I have a supercharged Ferrari with a full wing and colored lights lighting up the ground under my Ferrari. I'm sure they like my custom wheels too.
