Burnt smell

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone else has this but my car is fine when I drive it normally but as soon as I punch it and speed for awhile I get this burnt smell like fuel or somthing anyway I was just wondering what that smell was a buddy told me it's because I'm accelerating and it's not burning all the fuel or somthing?

Ive got around 7900 miles on mine and I definitely notice a smell after I punch it, it was much more defined when I first bought the car.

Nothing wrong that the dealership has noticed so far.

I'd say keep an eye on it. I didn't punch it much when I got my car and I had a burning smell for some time any time I decided to. Honestly it wasn't like gas more like plastic in a non alarming new car kind of way.

Mine still does it only when I punch it. (17000km) if you ever notice a healthy car punch it in front of you, you'll more than likely smell his, if its that smell or similar to yours, all is well.

Mine would do the same thing at WOT. The a/c would also turn off and just blow warm air until a few seconds after coming back to regular RPMs, but that's because the a/c compressor will build up too much pressure and the relief valve will vent the refrigerant out if not. But anyway, I believe it's just the cats your smelling. Perfectly normal.

If it smells like mine, it's def the cats. Hopefully they will be stored away in my shop really soon.

No I'm being serious. If you baby your crap like I'm sure a lot of you do. Then carbon builds up, and then you go and rag on it. That's more than likely what you are smelling.

I'm sure my cruising on the interstate at 1700rpms don't help to much either.
