Pulling the plug: VMP or MPT tune? Any safety issues?

I'm about to order my new tunes and I have narrowed it down to these two. I know Lund or AED would be an even better choice; they're bit $$$ for the mods I've right now lol. I currently have BAMA, loaded their hybrid (87) last night and honestly it did felt like their street tune. Good response down low but stock like/sluggish throttle abiuve 2700 rpms.

I know BAMA is bit conservative when it comes to making power, and im certainly not the one to get fazed by numbers. Power at all rpms is what im after.

Well, I have heard nothing but great things about MPT n VMP. I was wondering if anyone has had any negative experience (in terms of safety) with both? And if you have tried both, which one is 'more responsive'?

PS: what are your idle rpms btw? Mine used to right around 750-800 mark but now its like 975-1000 - both on BAMA tune and stock (as I saw last night when I was updating my tunes).

VMP and MPT are both great! But MPT specializes alot with 3.7s so honestly I'd go with them. My RPM is set at 850. But that's because I think that's the sweet spot on my car. U can change it if u want MPT leaves that option open for u.

Hate to plug my own discussion but I really want to do a MPT group buy. I made a post about it a few days ago. I sent them an email about it so fingers crossed with the backing of the community we can get a deal. So many are thinking about switching and they have a really positive reputation here

Yeah I'm leaving towards MPT, I'm looking for power at all rpms. Hopefully, their cherry would be sweater lol

I'm totally in!! The moderators maybe should make a sticky every month - where people who want a MPT should put their name down, and pass on their info to moderators for a group buy.

I know this is the V6 forum and I've got a V8, but I just switched from BAMA to VMP. I daily drove the BAMA 89 Performance tune (always filled with 91 though) and now have a 91 tune from VMP. Throttle response is better and I've gained 4mpg. Car just feels happier all around. I don't have any experience with MPT, but I can definitely vouch for VMP.

I also ordered the tune on Thursday and was told 5-10 business days to receive it. Got an email last night from Justin with the new tune. Two days earlier than expected and on a Sunday. Can't beat that customer service.

We don't mind the group buys, and currently allow posts for them. However, should the deal go sour for any reason, ME is not responsible.

Collection of money or payment for any purchase transactions made on this site are all up to those involved with a group purchase. Let the buyer beware.

MPT, Lund, and Steeda are the 3 best tuners out there for the 3.7 right now IMHO
