Who knows about this???

I was eye shopping though American Muscle and came across this:

SR Performance Throttle Body Spacer (11-14 V6)

Now does anyone know if this works as in more hp gain? and is there any cons about this?

The Throttle Body Spacer isn't a bad modification for the V6. The Throttle body spacers get a lot of bad things said about them but I really don't think they're all that bad. It's more of an in between mod and they won't net for huge power gains. If you're okay with that, then it's a good move!

Basically, a Throttle Body Spacer is supposed to be installed before you do an Aftermarket throttle body and Cold Air Intake. It's not very beneficial once you're already getting a ton of air from those modifications.

I hope this helps!

It does absolutely 0, zilch, nada, nil, none for performance.

If moving the throttle body a half inch gave you any power difference, then why not put a 12" spacer on and really feel the power?

This isn't like the carburetor equipped cars where the air and fuel are mixed - and a spacer would cause an increase in runner length. With fuel injection all the spacer does is lighten your wallet.

We aren't carb'd that we have intake running and TB that flows straight down. How is a hunk of aluminum going to magically spin air enough to "help atomize fuel and air". Think about it bro.

Breaks surface tension of the incoming air molecules allowing the fuel to better mix and bond with the air molecules during combustion.

Jesus christ. We don't have a carb. That doesn't work unless the spacer was way thicker and the intake runner were straight up and down. I bet you also believe stickers give you HP too? It's all Bull. Go look into it before saying u felt such a great bump in power from a hunk of aluminum.

Just hate that people recommend parts that yield no gains. Wastes people money.

I have been good bro. The wife and kids are doing great, thanks. My 12 year old son, my father and I are actually leaving tomorrow morning for a boys camping trip over to Virginia to Jelly Stone Park. Yogi Bear park. Lol. The kids are on Easter break this week.

Hope all is well with you and the family. I actually haven't seen you on here for a while up until recent. I figured you were busy with school. I installed a pair of LCA's and had day time running lights installed from Raxiom.

How about you, any new stuff for the 5.0?

Oh man that sounds sweet! A boys trip huh. Haven't gone camping in at least 4 years! Always a good time crashing in a tent!

Been around brotha, just working alot and school. Gotta pay for the Coyote u know. The 3.7 has officially been given to my sister. She's been taking good care of her for me. She got the mod bug too lol bought her slotted and drilled rotors and new ceramic pads, JLT Catch can, new NGK o2 sensors cuz the long tubes fried the right one and we just rather replace both. She's getting the roof painted gloss black! Same as me later.

The Coyote got a O/R xpipe, Muffler deletes, Jon Lund Tune ghost cam and race, and just recently the Boss manifold. Oh and I bought some Brembo Wheels with Falkens for 400 from a buddy lol got a steal on them!

Those Day Time running lights look pretty good! Didn't think I'd like them but I was wrong!

Forget that tent stuff. We are cheating big time. Cabin baby in the mountains. Ha ha ha. We have our own bathroom and shower, full kitchen and all in the cabin. Were so cheating. Its like a Hilton cabin. Ha ha ha! Golf cart and all. Lol.

My long tubes fried the passenger O2 sensor last year. Ha ha but no issues with the driver side 02 sensor. That gloss black roof gonna look sweet.

The DRL's are very bright during the day and look awesome. Raxiom did a great job on them. Glad your sister is taking good care of the 3.7.
