Procharger

Im thinking of getting a procharger for my 2012 v6 PP MT mustang. I have cai and tuner. Plan on getting 3:73 gears from 3:31 and shorties headers. Does anyone have one and does anyone know how much TQ you get from the procharger. ..are you happy?

Wait until lpf releases their turbo kit. We may see way better numbers than the procharger. If you are concerned about torque, you might want a turbo.

He is talking about this thread where LPF is making a turbo kit but it's still in the works but have done prior turbos

3.7 turbo mustang

So agree with him if your looking at a supercharger i would wait to compare there turbo kit to compare bang for buck and all. Last i knew pro chargers have to be higher in the rpm band to get the power, compared to the roots style or turbos. So ultimately it's going to be up to what you are looking for.

No one does, yet, but it should be released soon and offer much better torque numbers.

Nope. I'm waiting for dyno numbers and good pictures before I spend 5k. Turbos are fun and could make more torque on our cars.

I would too. That's all I was saying. Wait to see what it looks like and see what the numbers are.

I have the D1SC Procharger on my 2003 Mach 1. Given I have a v8 and different engine I believe the dyno numbers were around 550hp and same for torque, roughly that is without finding the dyno sheet. I know the HP was 550 and the guy that was tuning my car said it initially dyno tuned at 600 right off the trailer after the engine rebuild. I was also told the car was capable being tune much higher but to be cautious he tuned it down. In regards to me being happy? I'm very pleased with my Procharger, it actually acts like a turbo since it builds most of the boost around 3000rpms and kicks in hard after that. I would do you research on the pros and cons and go with whatever seems to work for what your shooting for. My only regret was I wished I ordered the F series but that's meant for track only. But where I live local PD doesn't care about emissions here. I also run straight pipe which is illegal in most areas. No way I would pass a smog test and never built it with the intentions of doing so. Be sure to keep us updated on the progress of the build.

That project has been shelved so there hasn't been any advancement at all.

This is really off topic, but who else offers supercharger for 3.7 beside procharger ?

They don't!, Procharger is the only one.

I would keep the 3.31 gears. The added torque will work very nicely with this gearing. If you have an automatic get a slightly higher stall convertor. If you have a manual, a better clutch, pressure plate combo. HP means nothing, torque x RPM. Just a number for sales. I'd do an Aluminum driveshaft too. Good luck.
