The problem is that you got a ghost cam tune, unfortunately.

Huh, I don't have that much knowledge with them but I do know that ghost tunes have issues like this. Only person to ever figure it out was Lund but Ford shut that down. Lol

Either this is too easy, or I'm missing something...have you contacted MPT and talked with their support group?

In the mean time, I'd flash it back to stock.

Ghost cam tune has nothing to do with rest of the curve. U can add a ghost idle to any combo when u order...if ur company can do ghost tunes that is.
Btw, Lund still does ghost cam tunes.
What tune did u order?

Try calling the source like MPT themselves. I am sure you could datalog for them and they will be sure to figure it out.

Just an update. They told me to datalog and I understand that but then they say I have too wait 3 business days once again. Like really. How about they look at it as I've already received the tune, it was wrong and they need to fix it. This is wrong IMO esp since I've bought around 5-6 tunes from them. They are starting to make me to want to pull my hair out.

How are the other 4-5 tunes u bought from them? Maybe u loaded a street tune by accident? I would load a few of the others and see how they feel.

Did you politly mention this to them? If the current tune tech (or whatever they call themselves) is not handling your case the way you feel it should be, then ask to speak with the head tech/supervisor.

I agree with you on this one...if the current tune is indeed at fault, then the $75.00 you paid and waited for should be working, and they should resolve it for you. Waiting 3 days for another tune is only when you order a new one (and don't pay the additional "rush" fee; this should not be applying to you).

I do not understand why you do not speak with MPT themselves and call to speak with a human and explain to them the situation. I am pretty sure they will be more than accommodating.

Not too much we as forum members can do from here.

The problem is you got a ghost cam tune! Ha ha ha! Get rid of that junk for DD and use a regular MPT tune. The doctor is in the house and made his diagnosis. Ha ha ha

Quick question would it be better to get a custom dyno tune or get a lund tune?

You don't want to spend $1000+ on installing 4 new cams yourself so you though you'd buy the sound effects version. So, what is the purpose of this ghost cam crap? My dumb old *** can't comprehend this technology.

It's the equivalent of pulling the choke out about half way like we did in the old days when we couldn't afford a cam job. The difference in our day however was the added black smoke which gave us away. It did somewhat sound like a radical cam.

For one, the new V6s have MAYBE one company that makes aftermarket cams, otherwise you have to get your stock cams reground. Two, maybe it's not that he didn't want to drop that kind of cash, but that he couldn't. I for one don't have the kind of money to buy aftermarket cams when there has been little to no testing compared to the V8s, and I feel the gains from regrinding my stock cams may not be worth the cost.

you want the performance tunes from MPT not the ghost cam tune as its purely for making your car sound like it has aftermarket cams. The MPT tune is hands down better then a Bama tune. I used to have a bama tune and MPT has more low end power and slightly better top end power. Racing from a roll is also 3x better then with the bama tune. The only downside i would say and its a small one is that your shift points are now at 2000 rpm with an automatic with MPT i just had them lower it down to 1800 to increase my mpg around town by 1.5.

Based on your question Lund or Dyno and based upon your mods, my recommendation would be Lund tune.

Keep me posted on your decision bro. If not happy with bama as I think you may have eluted to may I make another suggestion, MPT for 75 dollars. Excellent , powerful tune. Lund will run you 200 dollars.
