I want to stay with the bounds of this websites rules.
0-60 is not actually racing but does give an indicator of the top end performance of the V-6 with mods or without.

Hmm still havent had a chance to try the auto 0-60 in my stang. But does bring up the question, what are the 3.7s out there with manuals launching at? Have the stock 2.73s for now.

Nice, sorry for confusion was actually referring to launch RPMs but dont want the thread to get off topic.

But would be interested in what other 3.7s are getting with different gears, curious as to the difference between some so I can better decide, so i like the OPs question as most people judge rwHP by seat of the pants and 0-60 does that

We captured 6.5 with BBK CAI, dual stock exhaust ,automatic, and I am pretty certain 2.73 gears, (running at 55-60 mph 1200-1300 rpms.)
That is better than my 68' 289 3 speed with 8.8 4.10 back in the Wild West.
I am very impressed with these 3.7s.

Here goes my story about my 0 to 60 times . 100% stock, 3.31 gears with an automatic transmission 6.1-6.3 seconds. Then i added an Evolution Performance (Lund) tune with a 'no tune' C&L c.a.i., 5.7-5.8 seconds for my 0 to 60 times. Added long tube headers and catted x-pipe, 5.1-5.4 seconds for my 0 to 60 times.

Here is where things go crazy . I then added an aluminum (axle exchange) driveshaft and dealer installed 3.73 gears, my 0 to 60 times are now anywhere from 6.8 seconds to 8.9 seconds . I have no traction, even changed to 2.55/45-18 tires from the factory 2.35/50-18's. I don't even try to do 0 to 60 times anymore.

I'm 100% sure, if i could get 'traction', my 0 to 60 times would be in the high 4's

So if you did it again would you look at doing like 3.55s?

255's are still little rubber bands lol 275/40/18 and you'll be happy or get a second set of rear wheels and throw some MT ET streets on and you'll hook easy

No. I wish i had gone with 4.10's. We now have a new Ford Edge to do our highway drives with. I'm happy with the lack of traction. Just to know my little v6 can blow off the tires the way it does is good to me .

I didn't want to have to buy wider wheels because i like the factory wheels that came on 'Little Red' (my Mustangs name).

I will be looking for a couple wheels with drag radials in the near future. I really want to know my 'real' 0 to 60 times and not just a guess

Dude, the one car you don't name is a Mustang....it has a name...
Now it can use its first name like Shelby or Cobra but you don't call it anything else unless you want to use the the last name of 5.0 or SVT.....ect.
Capisce ?
