Holding traction button to get "Advancetrac"?

So I was experimenting with my traction control button and found out that when I hold it down for several seconds while pressing the brake, the computer screen shows something like "advancetrac off" or 'on' im not sure. I can feel a difference in driving, handling and power. And it feels quite nice!
So what exactly is it? I know that when it's in effect traction is off, but it feels a little different, flooring the car feels alot more fun with it. Even my exhaust gets a little louder believe it or not.

I actually just did -.- it was a wet turn at the traffic light and thank goodness there was a wide grass area on the side and that is where I ended up.
Moral of the story never use it of its wet, lol.

I believe Advancetrac includes both traction control and stability control. So you turned both of those off.

Sent from the future.

Read your owners manual.

All you did was turn off traction control and stability control.

The engine tuning is no different and your exhaust does not magically get louder.

This is something rare... It's called the butt dyno, LOL. It's a placebo effect, driving with TC off is fun, without ESC, your driving an animal...

That's why I put it on sport mode, TC off and ESC Reduced, but still on.

It may not increase power but with it on it decreases power by breaking when traction is lost or aggressive handling.

Exactly, so you are putting down more to the ground because the car isn't holding back. I love driving with everything off. With just the TC off (one tap) it will still fall on its face on the 1-2 shift cause the rear tries to break loose. It will also still do it in sport mode (brake and double tap). But with it all off (brake and hold for a few seconds) you can do whatever you want with no nannies. I love it with all turned off, you can actually drift around turns without the brakes automatically being applied.

Just leave it on- You may not like this, But my opinion on this.

Turning that stuff off does not add horsepower or torque to your car.
Your mufflers are not louder.
Your acceleration is no different.

The only time that it may feel like it robs a little power is when it actually detected a problem and applies a brake to keep you out of trouble.

It is nice to turn it all off when on a racetrack but not when driving stupid on the public highways. It's OK to wreck your own car but just think of the person you run into when sliding out of control.

Yall are saying some true stuff. And I AM very careful with it, I also forgot to mention that I even turn overdrive off too (i drive auto :/) and it seems to add a little to the fun of it. Its just a nice thing to do when im bored as crap going back from work at night and flooring it from the traffic light on a straight line every now and then.
