I have a 2014 V6, I wanted to know if I have to buy the gear kit if I want to upgrade to 3.73 gears or I can just buy the gears?

Just go ahead and get the kit and do it right ...you have to buy shims anyway to put the gear in so you might as well buy the kit

Get the kit. Only thing you wont need is the traction lock rebuild kit.

Buy the kit. My dealer did my gears and changed the bearing and seals (just to be safe), my Mustang only had 12,000 miles at the time.

No. You would be replacing new parts with new parts. Unless you've driven 80k in one year then its not necessary. If you go to a dealer to do it of coarse they are going to say yes, mistake #1, but if your going to a reputable speed shop or mustang specialist they will tell you no.
