Inexpensive Bluetooth Options

Hello, I just got a new 2014 v6, and in order to afford it got it very basic. Therefore it has a stereo with no Bluetooth or Sync capabilities. From what I have found, it is very expensive to replace the stock stereo with one that is nicer, mainly because of the dash kit involved. Does anyone know of a good, but inexpensive option to get Bluetooth capabilities to my Mustang. I would like to be able to make hands free calls that work through the speakers, as well as stream my iphone music to my radio. Is there a way of replacing the stock stereo without purchasing the dash kit, or a way of simply adding a Bluetooth device to the existing stock radio? Thank you.

I'm in the same boat so to speak, but I just got a '12 vert. I'm looking at the ISimple Transit. About $86 on Amazon and appears to do all you want. Can use the Aux in or FM Modulator.

Hello I do not post here much but stop by almost everyday. I got a sync kit for the 09 mustang on ebay, for 45 shipped. It is very easy to install and if search on here you can find the installation instructions. I did not have mine program. The only thing I can't use is the button for speaking commands. Let me know if you need more info, and good luck.

Oh yea my mustang is a 2013 base

The Belkin Bluetooth Handsfree kit is $60 on Amazon. It's suppose to be pretty good.

Guidance needed: Installing Belkin Bluetooth Handsfree kit

I just use this. It's not hands free but it is only $5.

Also, for $23 you can upgrade your car to auto headlamps. The car already comes with all the sensors all you need is a new switch. I just upgraded mine. I wish I would have known sooner.

Look at this on eBay:

If you want just hands free, I have a Jabra that I use in my Explorer. Works good. I did have an older Jabra that would also transmit over FM so it would go thru the stereo, but I found it was more of a pain than just using it on hands free.

I checked that out and it says it will not fit the Mustang. Were you able to get it to fit?

His was an 09, won't work in newer model. I just ordered a SuperTooth Crystal today. It's a $40 stopgap until I figure out what I want.
