I think people are ordering the spacer from a 2010 GT. Do a little more research and youll see what Im talking about. If I get a few minutes Ill see if I can find it. I just did my 2014 and I had to do some "creative cutting" but I got it to work.

Anyone want to do a write up and perhaps some pictures on how this is done? We would then move that over to the Mustang tech and DIY section.

Silverhorseracing has a good PDF on the steps (since you have to do basically the same thing to replace the stock inside door release handles for billet ones.... Ask me how I know).

I bought these and used a dremmel to cut out some the existing plastic and these went right in place.

I guess we could create a post then that points to this PDF, and title it "Door speaker install for 2011 to 2014 Mustangs"?

I can tell you this much...on the 2014 no speakers are going to be drop in, plug in and done. They will all require either a new spacer or make the current one work like I did.

Do you have pictures of how you did it for your 2014? This would be a worthy post for the DIY section!

Yea I've been looking around at spacers and mounts but couldn't find a website to buy them. Should I just try and call ford asking for a pair if they're in stock?

But from what I understand if it is a base V6 then no spacers or brackets are necessary only on the Shaker.

I am not sure whether the base needs spacers or not BUT it only takes about 10 minutes to yank off a door panel and look at it. Just do it!

Yeah it's only the ones with the shaker that need the spacers and I'm 16 and taking the door panel off was no problem just took a second to re-align it and screw it back in

Replacing 2013 door speaker

Finally got them installed. You need to buy the 2010 GT premium speaker bracket mounts http://parts.autonationfordwhitebear...iagram=JC10465 which is item number 7 (buy left and right). I used the old screws that mounted the old speakers to the brackets and then used the wiring harness from amazon to connect and button the door back on a BAAM! new door speakers (I'm 16 and this was a piece of cake)
