Next mod

So I need help deciding on my next mod. I currently have a 2014 mustang v6 with borla exhaust and airaid CAI. I'm looking to get a little more throttle response. So I'm torn between buying a tune (leaning towards steeda) or purchasing a throttle body or both. Well of course both would drastically improve throttle response but not really looking into dropping $800 if one of the two would appease me for now....

Tune it! If you keep modding it you will need it sooner or later.

Yea I did that and I didn't see one that position the question such as I, maybe I didn't scroll down far enough from all the results it pulled but I felt I read through enough threads for me to ask again

Hmm maybe try 'mods' in advanced search bar from your computer and check off 'only search the title' or something like that

OP, I have the exact same mods as you so far, Airaid CAI and Borla catbacks. I just ordered shorty headers which my family is going to get installed for me soon, I'm in Afghanistan now. From what I've heard, I could be wrong, a throttle body isn't worth the $400 IMO. When I get back home I'm going to buy a tuner. If I were you I'd go with a tuner or new headers, shorty or LT. However if you go LT you'll need to buy an after market X pipe.

I was in your exact same place a few weeks ago. I went ahead and bought the bama tuner from am. You will not regret it, am using the street tune and it's a whole new pony!

Yea I thought about the exhaust but that would be down the road, sounds like the tune is the way to go.

Which tuner did you go with I'm considering the iTSX mainly because I don't own a windows based computer but have a zillion apple products. Also how did the bama tune turn out. Was everything correct the first time or did they have to modify your initial tune they sent you I asked because I'm hearing mixed stories about ppl experience with bama which is causing me to learns towards steeda....

I bought the Bama SF3/X3 Power Flash Tuner w/ 3 Free Custom Tunes (11-14 V6). After you purchase from am, you will get an email from bama asking for your cars computer code, and all mods you have already done ( if u haven't done anything then just put stock ) they will then build the tunes and load them on the tuner and send it to you! I took about about 7 min to load the tune on the mustang, I then went and drove around for about 15 min (got on the highway did 90mph+) the major differences is mpg and shift times, and throttle response. Also more low end torque. And the tune am using uses 87 octane. The third tune is a race tune on 93 octane I will be testing that out in a week or so. If you follow directions and give bama correct info you should be set!

Some may agree or disagree, but to me the throttle body is nothing but a over priced hood ornament. For that price you will get so much more with gears. You do need a tune for them. So if you are willing to part with a little bit of cash, that's the two mods gears/tune that gives you the best bang for your buck.

I personally started with a CAI/Tune combo, but if I could do it all over again I would have gotten the gear/tune combo first
