Ford Factory Sync Install

So I just received my sync kit in the mail and can only find instructions for installing on a 2009- Mustang. Does anyone know if the installation will be significantly different on the 2014 Mustang? I have the base v6 if that matters. I have also included a link to the instructions below. Thanks in advance.

If you go back to the link I sent you earlier in your post about Bluetooth everything you need to know on the install is there.

I did look through it, just felt I didn't quite understand from what was said in that thread. I will look again though. I did try searching through the forums and couldn't find any other threads discussing this. Thank you.

$63, but yes. I'm going to work on it and plan on updating the forum on my progress. I compared the $63 one and it is the exact same kit that is $500-$600 everywhere else. I'm excited about the possibility of adding sync to my base v6 for $63, instead of the $1000s every alternative cost. I figure if it doesn't work I'm only out $63.

Can you please keep me updated??!! I inquired about this fitting on a 13 base with the seller and he said no, not compatible. I hope you get it to work I'd be all over that! When are you attempting to do it?

I have installed this as well as others and it works. there are a few items like say a command that does not work unless you get it programmed. the wiring is a litter different the for the 09 mustang but if you look for adding sync to a 2011 it will come up

Quick Update:

Spent a good few hours working on installing the kit today. The instructions that come with this kit are not very detailed, and I will confess I know very little about electronics. Thanks to the help of my04gt I made a lot of progress. Unfortunately I also made several mistakes. While trying to splice one of the wires on my data connector I accidentally cut the wire. I was able to get it back together and everything seems to be working fine. The other negative was that I couldn't find schematics to compare the wiring of the 09 Mustang (the year this kit was made for) with the 14 Mustang (my year). I believe I have the wiring correct, but that is yet be determined. In the morning I will begin working on splicing into the Smart Junction Box which is the final big step before putting everything back together. Again, I don't know what the proper wiring is, but hope to find out. What I am finding is that there are not a whole lot of schematics on the internet for later model Stangs. More to follow tomorrow.

My wife just bought a 14 fusion with sync and from what I can tell early on is isn't the "say a command" basically the sync?

UPDATE: Got my Sync to work and I can't believe it only cost $63. I will not say it was easy, but I did make it much more difficult than it should have been through my own stupidity. Now knowing how it all goes together I could do it again in a couple of hours. The biggest struggle of it all was figuring out which wire to splice into for accessory power. Again, I want to thank my04gt without whose help I am not sure I would have never made it past looking at the instructions.

Can you post a video of how it works? I'm very interested in getting one. Thanks

I'm not sure I am the best person to post a video, but that's a good idea. I did a lot of googling but found very little help on the internet, so I think it would be good to have some more info about the installation online. I got a lot of help from one generous guy on here who spent a lot of time with me on the phone and putting up with my obvious ignorance of how cars work. I am open to helping you, or anyone out if you want to install, and at the very least I may post some pictures later on. There is a nice thread on here about the install that I found helpful, but some of it I had difficulty with. If you don't have sync, I would definitely encourage you to purchase this box for $63. If I can install it breaking my car, anybody can. And considering it costs $1000s to have one professionally installed, this is a fantastic deal and well worth it.
