1/4 mile time...Good or Bad?

Hi everyone!!!

Last night I went to Bradenton 1/4 mile track for first time on my 2014 base V6 manual and ran 14.2@100mph. This is my 1st manual car and I'm not really sure if I did good on 1/4 mile. Any help will be greatly appreciated!?! Car is completely stock.

The car is capable of better, but given it's your first time with a manual at a track that isn't too bad. More track time and you will naturally get better.

I would have to say your off to a good start especially running a time like that. More practice and you'll break into the 13's

Your getting exactly what your supposed to. I wouldn't expect you to do much better with 2.73s. If you had 3.31s from the performance package then you would be in the 13s like these guys think

Just by working on that launch you can have 13's so yes you are doing a great job and now you have a baseline.

With stock rubber getting at least a 2.0 in the 60 is decent so based upon what you ran just by launching better you could have had a high 13 run.

Great job.

I don't think a 2.0 60' is possible with our cars with 2.73 gears

It is. Just have to get it perfect. You will spin less with 2.73s than with 3.31s.

When I finish my underbody (new aluminum build) I will be seeing what I can do. First time for me, so excited to see- thought my gearing will be terrible :/
