Extra wheel set advice

So I have an extra set of wheels (tires & rims).
They are 2012 v6 take off rims with the energy saver tires that come with them stock.
Only been used for about 2,000 miles before I switched them out for Pirellis and new rims.
They've been sitting in my garage for almost 2 years now.
Should I keep them as an emergency back up set? Should I sell them? If I decide to sell them, COULD I even sell them, and if so, for how much? It's almost time for me to get new tires so I could use the extra $.

I had this same issue. I decided to sell mine. The odds of putting them back on was very low. Plus having to store them "just in case" didnt make sense to me.

Yeah they are just sitting there in case of emergency but the longer they sit I just think its pointless. How much did you sell them for? I have no idea what to even ask for them. Should I use ebay or craigslist? Thanks

I had the 18" wheels from the Pony Package. I sold them with low low miles for 500.00. There really isnt that much resale value in stock wheels.

I thought about this too because I plan on buying a set of rims/ tires this summer. Wanted to sell them but I'll probably keep them to use during the winter so I don't damage the new rims.

I actually had three sets at one time. My stock 17s, a second set of stocks 17s that I bought from a neighbor that was moving for $100 and my current wheels on the car.

I sold one set for $325 last month. I am going to keep a set just incase I travel 2800 miles round trip to see my family.

Keep it
When I got into a wreck I wish I had had a second set.
I was lucky to have a friend let me borrow his stock set

I'm keeping my stock wheels and tires as winter/emergency tires. I'm not about to drive through a midwest winter on ultra-high performance summer tires and massive wheels that will get salt and crap all over them. Plus I have the crappy "tires for life" program, so I can do burnouts on the stock set to catch up on the mileage, lol.

It's never a bad thing to have an extra set, especially when you'd get such a small amount if you sold them.

I sold mine for $650, because the guy needed new tires and his rims were scuffed up

Luis, what size? If you got that much for 17's you really lucked out.

I would say keep them. As has already been said, you won't get much, and the shipping to somebody will eat your profits alive.
