2014 V6 installed LED Drl Fogs

People will obviously have different opinions on the audi style LED lights on a mustang, but I figured I would give them a shot. I havent seen a 13-14 mustang with them before. I know the 11-12 has the raxiom lights on sale at AM so I went with a custom pair.

The pics dont do them too much justice since my phone cannot get a better shot of the 6000k color they put out. Ill try and get better shots, maybe with an Iphone or something.

Let me know what you think!!

Looks Great! They look like the Cervini's LED's on the Stalker body kit

Where did you get those?

How did you install it?

Thats exactly what I was trying to shoot for. I liked the look of the Cervinis bumper with the lights so i figured I would try it out.

They were for sale on the svtperformance.com forums and I think the member bought them from a local custom mustang part shop in his area. Although I tried to look them up and couldnt find them. I realized that I may be getting scammed but bought them anyways. Its just a really nice set of LED strips and then are screwed onto the plastic piece that snaps into the bumper where the fogs would be. Not to elaborate but the lights were worth the money. I have been reasearching how to do this for a long time and was looking at some nice LED strips and they run around 50 to 60 dollars for a decent set so that was in my price range.

I wired them up by attaching the ground to a metal part in the engine bay and hooked up the positive to the 10A fuse for 'ignition relay" in the engine compartment. They go on when the car is on and turn off with it as well. Took me about an hour to install becuase I couldnt figure out how to get the damn plastic pieces out of the bumper!

couple more pics at night time. They look awesome in the dark. Good easy mod to fill out those empty fog light cutouts in the base bumper.

I have seen these types of strip LEDs on eBay but they don't show the dimensions or mounting details. I think yours look great.

I have seen numerous amounts of LED strips on Ebay as well and its really tough to find the best ones. I acutally prefered to use google images to find some and then click on the website that sells them. Its a little easier and prob better quality than some from ebay.

Kona Blue- love the DRl from raxiom and I wish they made them for the 2013, but for now ill go the DIY route. I saved some money for other mods by customizing myself.

Thanks man. Hopefully Raxiom will make some for the 13-14 models. I also have a set of Raxiom smoked halo projection headlights and HID's I will be installing shortly. It should look great with the DRL's. Those DRL's are very bright.

This is how I had my '12 set up before I installed actual fog lights. Got these strips on ebay and they worked well. Top is 4" and bottom is 6".

I like that better than my damn fog lights! Will those work on a 14 and if so how much did it run you?

I don't see why they wouldn't work. Look for something like this:

Lol thats what I said. I have and idea for the stock fogs they should be rather simple but look killer. I will come back to this thread when I can mock it up on photoshop.

I was originally thinking of doing a simple bulb upgrade to LEDs so that they at least match with the stock HID, But I think I should look into other options like these too. Definitely looks fancy.

Looks really good! It would look even better if your headlights were led or xenon
