Plasti-dip grille question

I was wondering what the easiest and best way to plasti-dip the chrome grille surround on a 2013. I already installed a black billet grille by taking off the bumper and everything. I figured the best way would be to take it all apart again and do the surround by itself. My only concern is that the grille was such a tight fit that it did scratch a little of the surround.
I guess I'm just curious what others have done. I figured there are three options.

1. Leave everything as is and just tape off the grill and car that are around the chrome surround.

2. Take off the bumper and the grille + the chrome surround but keep the grille inserted in the surround. Then just tape off the grille.

3. Take everything apart just as off I was inserting a new grille and pasti-dip the chrome surround by itself.

I'm leaving toward option 2 just so I don't risk scratching it after it's done by inserting the grille again. Here is a pic of it as it stands today.

Thank you all for your advice in advance

I just taped everything around it and sprayed carefully.

If it's easy to take off, I might have done that though.

You don't need to take everything apart. Mask off the area around the grille leaving about a 1 inch space between the edge of the tape and the edge of the grille surround (meaning there will be a 1 inch space allowing for over spray around the grille. In your case a 1 inch space of exposed red paint). Spray the chrome surround including that 1 inch space. After it dries, remove the masking and then peel that 1 inch of over spray which should peel away perfectly around the edge of the grille. Sorry if it's confusing it's hard to explain lol.
