Where do you guys buy your shift knob? Especially the weighted ones?

OP,

We have a wide variety of Shift Knob's on site here that do have a pretty solid feel to them in your hand. I'm pretty partial to the white as I think it goes well with any color interior:

I got a red one with white stripes from sickspeed. For me it was too big so I ordered one from AM and its perfect, not to mention it has the tribar logo, came with the retainer and was still cheaper.

I bought the brushed aluminum one from AM and I like it a lot better than the stock one.

Thanks for the reply. I love how it looks especially the pony logo one. The only thing that I am concern about is how heavy it is. I prefer weighted shift knob and I heard that the AM one is made of plastic

^^^ The weight on the solid polymer is as intended as an OEM part

CJ Pony. I don't have the pic of the tapered jam nut which matches the factory boot (I got it later), but you get the idea. GHIG to match the exterior.

what ever plastic they (most including sickspeed/MGW) are made of is a fairly heavy plastic. I haven't driven one that I would call weighted but since you don't really lift it or let momentum carry your shift lever wonder about the weighted feel and if in a blind test you could tell (not insulting just thinking aloud) esp if you have an aftermarket shifter which tends to firm up shift force.

FF13 yep the Sickspeed is a bit larger than the MGW I scored my MGW used and it came with a black cue...I wanted white enough I spent $ and prefer the slightly larger size.

Sunnytan06,

Very welcome! That's the look we're shooting for, think of it like an OEM+ Regarding the weight if need be I'll track one down here and shoot a picture of it on a scale for you but it's definitely not liteweight to the point where you're going to forget it's there.

Worst case if you're to have it picked up and just don't like the feel it can be returned for a 100% refund.
