73mm Throttle Body

I know some folks already have this mod but after doing some research, the realistic gains from upgrading to the $400 throttle body are very minimal. Really, only an increase to low end throttle response.

It seems the upper intake would need to be ported or forced induction to see any gains and even then, minimal.

Any opinions on this? At the moment I think I'll get it, but it's very far down on the list.

A throttle body spacer will give you more of an hp increase than a new throttle body

No.

If you are wanting high end gains you won't find them with the TB but the low/mid range has shown definitive gains. Better for street use, not much use for high RPM racing.

I will never put a spacer on mine lol. You get slightly more low-end but the swirling of the air in the intake creates turbulence on the top-end robbing you of more top-end power than it gives down low.

They were meant for trucks to give them more low end torque for towing.
