Stock exhaust except the mid pipe

---------- Post added at 11:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:30 PM ----------

People always say the h pipe isn't raspy, could there be a leak?

Resonators. Add them just before your over Axel pipes.

Explains why this ***** is loud as ****. Lol pardon my words. Can you return it, and get one custom fabbed/buy a 5.0 take off? - which i highly doubt that they will take it back. Your best bet at this point would be to cut it off from up top. Use the H-section from it to replace your h/x mid part on your stock catted pipe.

And if you want it louder, high flow cats would be way to go. But again it would get a heck lot $$$

Yes. I had this h-pipe and Pype bomb axlebacks and the rasp was horrid. A set of 22" resonators and the rasp is all but gone. If you plan on sticking to your stock axlebacks 16" or 18" resonators should be more than enough.

Sent from the future.

resonators won't get away from the break in tone at 3k rpm.
trust me I'm in the same boat as you.

Well when you think about it all that has been removed was the factory catts and resonators so adding resonators should make quite a difference from his current "loudness" and deepen it some, it might not make it perfect but should definitely help. When I put my Roush on last year I added 18" glasspacks to tone it out but all it did was quiet it way down almost to stock from 1k to redline, they lasted a day before they came out. Op anything "off road" on our 3.7s, x or h will produce rasp and will be very loud. If you are running the factory mufflers your probably not going to quiet it down with any aftermarket muffler, so your options IMO will be limited to adding resonators and or catts. For these reasons is why I haven't gone with a off road anything for our 3.7s, just not a fan of the sound it produces.

Alrefire is my nigga. I've heard the car in person. It doesn't break the tone. And as me and you figured out, roush and resonators don't sound good unless you go catless

I've got lethal performance o/r h pipe, MagnaFlow 22" resonators, and Flowmaster super 10s
I added the resonators because I wanted to get rid of the raspiness/break in tone at 3k rpm.
It didn't help at all.
If I were to do it again, I'd stick with o/r h, and some kind of straight through muffler.
None of that matters now though, turbo is less than a month away

So my question to you is how will my Roush ABs, shorty headers sound with a off road x or h? I've been wanting to get one but I'm thinking its going to sound like crap? I can't seem to find any videos of this exact set up so I have no idea how it will sound.

Magnaflow mufflers don't really deepen the tone or remove rasp, they just increase the volume of the exhaust. What you would've needed is resonators...like we said

Is it normal that my check engine light hasn't turned on yet?? I'm catless so I expected a code. Or does it usually take some time before it appears ?

People really need to specify Streets or Comps when talking Magnaflow. Same company, two completely different animals...just like Borla Touring and Ataks.
