Lightning and c4

So I met up with an ole lightning and a c4 racing today and decided to have a run or 2 with them. (OF COURSE, it was on a closed course. I mean who races on the streets?) anyways not to sure how it worked out but I got both the lightning and the c4 by about 2 cars the first race and 2.5 the 2nd race. I'm thinking they just never got on the gas.

Lightning wasn't trying. Depending on the year of the C4, some of them have absolute turd motors. lol

Yeah sorry but that Lightning would have smoked you. Maybe a bad driver.

If it were an 80's, early 90's era C4, then 2 - 2.5 car lengths meant you were taking it easy. If it's a 92+ then well, you should have had a good race on your hands.

As for the Lightning, this was the supercharged one correct? If so, that would have been a drivers race stock for stock, lightly modded, the lightning would have lit you up.

Built lighting. Heads, cams , 2.3 Whipple 16psi. 570hp/600tq. Looses to a Bolton coyote no nitrous used. 40 roll. Ask me how I know.

You need to remember it's a truck.

I've made plenty of big number Lightnings cry in the Z28 too, problem is, this is a 3.7 V6.

Yeah if it was a late 80's c4 it had the turd crossfire injection which would be an easy race. Remember if it had circle tailights or square?

There is a True Blue Lightning (2002) that will not play with me anymore because he didn't like his V8 getting beat by my V6. As long as it is stock you have a 305 HP 3500 pound car VS a 380 HP 4300 pound truck.

I'm wanting to say that the tail lights were more square then a circle.

If the C4 was new enough to have an LT1, it would be a very close race.

Even the 1990's vette would still be a good race as they were high 13's cars.
