Sounds dumb

This may sound dumb, but I tried to look for it and I cant find it. Where do they keep the Jack and a lug nut wrench for a 2014 v6? Anyone??

No spare = no jack + no lug wrench

I did get a spare tire. Under the mat in the trunk. No jacks and lug wrench though. A friend say they probably kept it in a different location. Any idea anyone?

There isn't one. Stock it came with an air compressor and a can of fix a flat. Not even kidding. If there's a spare, someone else put it there. Possibly your dealer is just a nice guy lol

I think only v6 with performance pack doesn't have a spare. Everyone other one does.

You can get a spare with the vehicle from the factory, but it's an option now instead of standard equipment. My guess it's that it's just one more way Ford tried squeezing every mpg they could out of their vehicles

My 13 has a spare, jacks under the tire and the lug wrench is in that felt plastic setup over the wheel with the fuel funnel so you can add gas to the cap less tank.

My guess is that the dealer, during their "prep" of the car when it rolled off the truck hauler, forgot to place it in the trunk.

During the 2011 to 2014 run, Mustangs either got a trunk that contained a spare, jack, and wrench, or you got an inflator (mini compressor) and a can of goo (fix a flat) with no jack or lug wrench. Most fell into the second option. Fotr awhile, Ford offered a spare tire option that could be ordered from the parts department, but I'm not sure if this is available.

Anyhow, neither option is good, as the spare tire was one of those temp tires/rims, and it most likely does not match the size of your stock setup; indended to get you to a safe place at a safe speed. The goo and compressor is the same theory.

If you bought new and received neither of the two, I'd get in touch with your dealer/sales person and ask. When they did the post sales walk around/talk with you showing all the cool stuff about the car, they were supposed to tell you about this part.

+1 4 me, that's exactly what I have. Did anyone get a full size spare with their car? I was quite surprised when I picked up mine.

If you are asking where to find the jack so that you can jack the car up to change the tires or oil or something, DO NOT. If you intend on servicing your car then you need a dedicated jack. The one that Ford puts in the trunk is not that and should only be used when you actually get a flat.

The smart thing to do is:::::::::

Go to your parts store and buy a couple cans of "SLIME" NOT "FIX-A-FLAT
Keep the slime in your trunk and if you do get a flat it works great. "SLIME" will not ruin the tire sensors like fix-a-flat will. It just washes off and does no damage at all to the wheel, tire or sensor.
That crap Ford puts in with the pump will ruin a sensor and you would have to buy a new one.
Ronnie

I always had this with me in my Mini JCW and now I keep it in my Mustang.

My car is 14 base and the jack is under the spare tire. Loosen the hold down bolt remove the tire and you will find the jack and lug wrench.

Slime won't hurt the sensors at all.

I had a flat one time on my Mini and had to buy a can of Fix-A-Flat. It totally ruined my $125.00 or so sensor and got hard inside the tire which was a $359.00 Dunlap runflat that did not run flat at all. They say 50 miles at 50 MPH but that is a load of B.S. I was on I 4 and called AAA which won't patch a run flat tire ( Nobody is supposed to) It did let me drive up to the next exit although it felt like a flat tire. I bought a can of Fix-A-Flat and it did get mt to Tampa. It also got me back to Daytona where I went to my tire store and ordered Michelin's. Why pay for one Dunlap at $359.00 when I got all four Michelin's for $985.00 installed and Balanced.
I had to go over to the Mini dealer to get a new sensor because the Fix-A-Flat ruined it.
I then did some research and found "SLIME" and it willNOT ruin a sensor or stick like a blob inside the tire and ruin the tire or have to be scraped off the wheel.
They sell two kinds of slime, One kind squirts in the tire and you use air to fill it up and the other comes in an aerosol can and will fill the tire enough to get you going.
Any of this stuff will not work if the hole is on a side wall and not the tread area.
If you do use any of this stuff make sure you know where the leak is and if you have to stop you need to keep the leak on the bottom against the road surface.
Ronnie
