Okay I'm sure I will get flamed for this but all I hear is a tin can. Sounds worst than before. Why do people try and put flowmasters on our sixxer. Get a dual chamber or even a resonated muffler delete.

I'm debating on what pipe I shouldl go with also, but I'm 95℅ sure my Roush will sound like garbage no matter what xpipe/h I go with, so I'll probably be going with s types also. I just need the $$$ to get er done.

Roush tips on them? The second video sounded better IMO. Could be because it wasn't on my phone this time lol.

I know there are many ready to bolt on axle back kits available out there for an average price of $620ish give or take. Borla S/touring, magna flow, flow master.. you name it.

Why not use universal mufflers or these respective brands that retail for $85 per unit ($135 for Borla), and save the extra cash for future mods. Use tips ans tail pipes from your stock exhaust and voila! you have same exhaust kit for $170 + $100 for labor n welds.

I was on phone with magna flow technical support the other day and this is what the guy said: "our universal mufflers are in fact the same units used in our street kits that retail at $600+. The price difference accounts for having a complete bolt on kit with tips and tail pipes"

- same goes for flow masters. Just my 0.2 cents.

Yeah... These flowmaster 40's are welded in by an exhaust shop. $200.... For everything. I've had 3 axle backs before them. Just trying the waters and finally learned what I liked. Get a stereo to help :p

I might do that. Put the stockers back on, weld some nice tips on them (borla) sell the Roush and use the $$$ to pick up a catted something. Lol like you said, why pay 600+ to quiet my exhaust down because of a x/h pipe that I want to put on when I still have my stockers that will only cost the amount of the tips! Also helps that I'm a welder so I can save on that also. Lol.
Thanks bro! Good idea?

Sounds like a good plan! I see you have a manual transmission car, stock mufflers that came with your car are in fact comparatively louder/nicer sounding than autos. Plus the tips are different too (doesn't have that squished pipe in it). But yeah its your choice if you wanna go with different set of tips. I have stockers just with CAI, had a buddy sit in my car with gt500 quads, auto tranny, and bbk shorties, and he goes what aftermarket exhaust do you have? It's sounds really nice lol

Here's a suggestion: buy a GT take off h pipe or a ford racing x (depending on what kind of sound you prefer) and a set of high flow cats. It won't be as loud as Roush (or it might be actually because of high flow cats idk), but 10 bucks it be a sweet sounding setup!

Sounds good at idle and when you hit the gas I don't think the rasp is that bad. I think my plan to get the prochamber and weld in Pypes hi flow cats will work good. I already have the S-types. This setup shouldn't yield any rasp but will keep the deep rumble and be louder than my current setup which is what I want.

Trust me, you don't want cats with this.
The difference in volume between mine and his is unbeleivable.
Mine is much louder.
His, with no cats, and no resonators is quieter than my off road h with 18" mag resonators and flow 10s.

I know he's got flow 40s, and I've got 10s, but I don't think 1 chamber is responsible for that much of a difference

Hmmm interesting but I'm not going to run a mid pipe without cats. I think it will still be louder than my current setup as I still have the stock cats and resonators with a custom H after the resonators.

Also, there is a o2 sensor hole where the cat is. You can't add cats to it. Just have to buy the box and weld it in. I just wanted depth and I definitely got it. Very throaty for a v6

White! Sounds good, much better than lethals o/r h pipe. The depth in sound is DEFF there. Yea its tin can like in the upper RPM, but all mid pipes (uncatted) are like this. Regardless, with that being the foundation sound with an aggressive tip, you STILL have a great sounding mid pipe. I think this piece is back in the works for me.
Thanks for taking the leap. I'm sure you are pleased with the results here.
