^^^+1 Active > passive

from what I can tell IF you have the active from the Factory although it does come with a 2nd LED (not the flashing lock icon on speedo) Ford just tapes it under the dash. When I installed my active system I mounted the LED above my radio. Salas, good luck but unless either you don't have the active system or it doesn't work at all I'm gonna guess they will say "you must have slpt through it" I doubt they'll give you satisfaction. Try this, with the window down arm system and reach in..this will test i/r sensor...then thump on steering wheel that will test shock sensor.

Yeah I tried that. With the windows down the car is more sensitive thats stupid. I barely thump on the damn car with the windows down and it goes off like crazy.... why the hell doesnt it work with them up and while someone is beating the **** out of the car??

That's a shame man. People need to stop doing things like this. Like why would you ruin something that someone worked hard for? Just because you're too lazy to work for it doesn't mean you should ruin it for someone else!

i remembered reading this post a while back, and wanted to send this info out...

I have a 2013 base V6 and this past weekend i went on vacation in it. we were on a ferry ride with the car locked, and coming back up to port to get off the ferry, my alarm went off twice, without the button being pressed... apparently the vibrations of the ferry and it bumping into the dock??? no one was around my car (had my eyes on it like a hawk).. almost seemed over sensitive.. however, if my car did that, I would assume yours should have with some one 'jumping' on it...
