Which Exhaust

Really torn between which axle backs to get I love the black tips on the new Corsa's. But I am also considering the Borla sport (stinger) and the Flowmaster. I really want the black tips. The car is Deep Impact Blue with black rims and I am eventually going to replace the other chrome with black chrome. I am not interested in the gurgling sound of some systems. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the black pype bombs and love them. They are just very loud. I like the loudness, others may not. Not as loud or raspy as the Roush, but still pretty loud.

Get borla. You pay for quality and no drone. Plasti dip the tips. No big deal ya. I'll be honest, I hated my pypes, roush and now flowmasters 40's. Save the pennies and get borla or ford racing

I wish i had the Borla's, just wasn't in my budget so I went with the Pypes. Don't get me wrong, I love the Pypes... but Borla's..... now those are like orgasms bolted to the back of your car....

I wish I would have gone Borla. I have the Mac axle back. It sounds great but the 2-3K drone gets a little much sometimes. So my vote is for Borla.

How well does that work? Would the plasti dip hold up or need to be redone more often than it's worth?

Plastidip should be good. A can is $6.50 at your local home depot. You should be able to do your tips anywhere from 10 or more times with one can of plastidip. One coat should be good and last atleast 6 months or a year. Another option is black engine paint or a similar paint that can withstand high temp.s

---------- Post added at 04:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:10 PM ----------

By coat I mean one full application, obviously do more than one coat lol.

I figured that's what you meant lol. I might give it a go. I don't really like the tips on the stock 2014 automatic. I'll try dipping them and if they still look stupid, AM will have to ship me a nicely packaged borla

I have a 2014 DIB w/ performance package. I have a black & blue theme, too. I PlastiDipped my stock exhaust tips black & applied glossifier. They turned out pretty good & are holding up well. I am also very interested in the Corsas w/ black tips.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the borlas man. I know at first you sounded unsure of them. Best decision I've made was dropping the extra couple hundred for them.

You can paint any tip you get on any exhaust.

Get an exhaust that you will like and live with. Try to hear them in person to get the whole feel for them.

It holds for over 200*. Your engine max runs 220. That's your engine. Now imagine those big tips, they just expel gas, those maybe 25* over atmosphere temperature. Now on the muffler it'll melt. I dipped my roush, and there is still some on the inside wall after a year.

Go Borla S-type and you will have no regrets. Check them out on Autoanything.com. They are $606 which is about $150 cheaper than AM. I picked mine up from there for $530. Patience isn't always key, but you can sometimes get them for a steal on there

Actually since your purchase, they dropped down to $605. Usually when someone price matches, the overall price drops. So thanks for making it cheaper for us all

AM will price match any of those guys. I feel safer buying from AM so it works out great. I found my borlas on stage3motorsports.com for 100 cheaper than am and they matched it no problem. Except you cant use the forum discount on top of that.

I will say when I got my a year ago, because of the deal they had on them at Autoanything.com it ended up being on back order. It took over a month too get my AB. Getting the price match from AM can be a plus when it comes to getting your AB quickly

Which Exhaust

I ordered my ATAK's from Stage 3 once they were cheaper than AM plus their mil discount. Despite other peoples reviews of Stage 3 my order was processed, shipped, and received within a week with no issues. And another advantage is they are in Arizona so I don't have long wait times getting stuff from PA to CA.

The only thing with them is they don't have a lot of their products in stock. They told me I would have to wait over a month to get my exhaust.
