Can't wait

Going to get my gears put in tomorrow!! Going from 2.73 to 3.73! Gonna cost me 400 flat and it's a very good shop. Can't wait hopefully I will like them. U guys think it will solve this problem? When I'm at a dead stop I push all the was down and it takes forever!!! Just to take off.. Lol will the gears solve that?

Yeah but when you get your car back from the shop you shouldn't floor it you need to take it easy for a few hundred miles then you should be good to go.

Yea there's a break-in period. So no hard launches or burnouts.

If anyone that has switched from 2.73 to 3.73 could help. Would it help off the line? Because with 2.73 gears when I'm at a dead stop and push on the throttle all the way it takes forever to get going

Yes it should definitely help you pick up torque in the low rpm range.

How do I correct the speedometer after I do a gear swap on a 2014 manual shift V6?

What RPM's do you see at 70 mph?

Did gas mileage go way down with 3.73"s?

You need a tune/tuner to correct your speedometer...

MD,

Thanks, I appreciate you looking for info for me. Looking for someone who has actually done the swap on their 2013-2014 to see what they did regarding those specific questions asked in the thread I was asking for the information in.

I'm sure someone that has done it themselves will chime in soon.

Thanks again.

No problem, but quite a few have answered your questions except for them jumping in their car and doing the tests you require. That's why I gave you the links on your other tread with the charts from American Muscle. Did you go look at the chart?

So, when you change wheels and tires, or when you change gears, what should you do about odometer and speedometer readings as far a keeping things straight as far as miles since both have an effect? I'm just looking for opinions before I do any of those changes.
