Lol that's funny and awesome. The C7 isn't really built for the strip but even so it's sick that a "tiny V6" took it down. When will people learn that the 3.7L isn't just "another" V6?

3.7 is the first v6 performance motor IMO. The other v6 ' s were just to have a v6 for sale

First off not to take anything away from the Mustang as its definitely a sick setup and he posted the slip and its definitely fast. But just because he beat a procharged C7 does not mean he car is faster then a procharged C7, it means he beat one guy who drives a C7. I'm sorry but put an experienced drive behind the wheel and the C7 would win. This is a perfect example on how people build cars instead of focusing on learning how to drive the power they have. I mean even with the 5.0's if you go in the drag racing section there are guys running between 12.5's and low to mid 13s. Just being you have a car capable of running 10/11 1/4 times does NOT mean your average joe can drive it to those times. When you have a 400+ HP car (especially with the C7, which probable has around 630) its not easy driving high HP cars to their potential when you have to worry about launching, wheel spin, etc. especially if you have street tires. At the track I've beaten cars that were faster that had a bad run or inexperienced driver that had to let off due to excessive spinning, although I won it doesn't mean my car is faster when you compare car to car.

Guess you missed Clamphiers post of an 11.2 1/4 mile time slip with a ****ty 60 ft.? His car definitely moves out. BTW, I agree with you that anytime you race someone the driver mod is the #1 factor.

The only timeslip he posted, at least on ME was an 11.58 @ 122.75 MPH, with a 2.0 60ft and 7.66 @ 99.36 MPH 1/8.

Also, he said the fastest trap speed the car has ran was 124 MPH.

I will say that these videos only make the car look a good bit slower than it actually is.

Also, that procharged C7 should make my Z28 look slow, however it's far from it. My car is also a roll race car on normal street tires that is also a manual transmission. I managed an 11.4 @ 129. I've raced procharged vettes and they are monsters on the big end, which this C7 was a turd the entire pass.

The c7 is doing a cam swap and throwing a bigger head unit on it also, he had a P1 swapping to a f1 series head unit. Didn't say if it was a A ,C, R at least not that I saw anyways

He needs to do something, whatever setup he had in that video was slower than a stock C7, even on the big end and that car was planted from 2nd gear on.

Really? Better talk to the guys running 10 - 12 - 15 and more on stock internals. I was running 12 lbs on my 2006 and put 203,000 miles on it before I sold it. The new owner is still going on the stock motor 2 years later with no problems.

Correct. A procharged vette on the big end is a monster. He doesn't need a cam or a bigger head unit to catch up.

I got a friend with a procharged 2000 vette with exhaust and consistently lays down 128 to 130 mph.

Just saying.

Yep.. and that was AFTER he had N2O on the car....

I believe was running 12 or 14 PSI on my 2005 4.0.... had like 46,000 miles on it when i sold it... as far as I know, the 2nd and 3rd owners never had any problems with it...

Isn't Bob still on stock internals? or is he not saying!
