Traded a 2014 base for a 2014 premium

Just traded my base model for this beauty. Glad I finally got a premium.

Here is the one I traded in. Liked the stripes but I think I'm going to go with some performance mods on this one. Track apps making me do it. Lol. Click image for larger version

I hear you on that. Nice looking one you traded in too! I'm holding on on most performance mods myself until the warranty is up, I just don't want to risk it. So I'm just doing mainly appearance now. My list of mods down the road is a long list though. Lol. Keep us updated on the upgrades, I'm looking forward to seeing what you get done!

How much $ did you have to put with the trade? If any.

I am really impressed with the track apps. Always read about them. Never seen them until now.

Well it is cheaper to add the appearance mods to this one than to upgrade the interior on the old one.

Thanks. A gt was in the offering. But there was still a 5000 difference in price. Got this one way below MSRP.

Congrats! The only thing I'm on the fence about on mine is the wheels. I don't like the fact that they are 17's..

I agree. But I like the look of these over the base wheels. Plus 17 inch tires are generally cheaper anyways.

Congrats, glad you finally got what you wanted. The Premium 17" wheels are way nicer than the base model 17" wheels. Enjoy.

Did you get a new one 0 miles ?

How much extra did you have to give them in addition to your car? How many miles did yours have?

I am just curious what kind of deal they gave you.... maybe i am being a bit too nosy.

Also premiums are nice i love all the bells and whistles in mine!

I only gave 21000 for the auto base, so they gave me that for trade plus I got some rebates from ford. Walked out at 1.9% interest on the new one. Old one had 2300 miles. New one 43 miles.

Hmm i purchased mine here in Atlanta in March and i paid 23,500. Also my dealer was giving me base model for $19000 but i opted for the premium

At that time Ford was giving back $4000 rebate so i am not sure if they were still doing that plus i am sure it varies from state to state.

Either way how do you like premium compared to base model.

Love it. It's cool how you can see the extra info about the car on the LCD gauges.

Aeroforce has a gauge that does everything that track apps does, its like 250$.

When i bought my base model i was under the impression track apps came with all new mustangs. Was only a week or two before delivery from the factory that i realized it didnt, kicked myself in the *** for a bit about it but once i read into it more I didnt think its worth the extra $$

Track apps is just a bonus. Mainly went for the leather, ambient lighting, shaker system and built in hands free.

there is a $4k "premium" over the base, but if u can afford it then well worth the extra goodies. got mine in ruby red with convenient pkg (power heated seats/side windows; illuminated pony logo) seven months ago. def wanted to pay extra for the color, but not so much the convenience pkg...i live in socal. i have yet to try out the track apps. btw, just installed a pair of borla s-type axlebacks yesterday and all i can say is

I love both cars LOL. I recently bought the 2014 Premium Convertible. I love the car but am still finding the ambient lighting a little bit distracting when driving. Does anyone else find it distracting?

Not at all. Maybe you just need to get used to it, however, I don't even remember needing to get used to mine.

Looking at USAA right now, Premium V6 is $22,390 before tax/title/tags. Base GT is $27,800 before tax/title/tags. So unless you paid $27k out the door you drastically overpaid. Hopefully it was $27k out the door.

I've gotten so where I don't notice the ambient lighting anymore. I've tried turning it off, and had to put it back on. I like the way it lights up the interior.
