Strange Noise

Hi all,

So I have a 2014 V6 automatic with a 91MPT tune, 3.55's, aluminum drive shaft, and cold air intake. About a month after having the gears and drive shaft replaced and switching to the 91 tune there is a strange noise that occurs sometimes when I press the throttle to accelerate. From under the front of the car there is a raspy scratching.....it is really hard to describe but it only happens when pressing the throttle. It can be heard alongside the regular engine noise. I am waiting for a response from MPT and I won't be able to re program the car to stock for a couple days. Any ideas? Can a tune change engine noise? It doesn't sound too alarming but it doesn't sound normal either.

Maybe there's a raccoon living down there and it doesn't like when you move the car because it can't sleep. It scratches the car hoping the large mechanical creature will change it's mind about moving. Trust me I'm a car expert.

More likely the cai. Exacerbated by the tune...adding more air because of the demand for more fuel. That is the indication that u need a louder exhaust!

With the stock driveshaft I have a bit of that on DECELERATION but not on acceleration. I would agree, they may not have torqued the driveshaft correctly.

The CAI would be more of a rumbling and then a slight whistle than a raspy scratching.

If it was ds related, it would be heard both under accel, and coasting...
Betting it's the cai.
