The shifter is junk from what I hear. I have experienced that a couple times with mine, but I usually don't go all that high in rpms because I can shift earlier and bark the tires all the way to 4th so I think I am putting down the power better shifting quicker than 6k but maybe the mgw shifter would solve that? why do you not have a warranty?

Sounds like you haven't disabled Skip-Shift. Goes from 2nd to 4th I believe, someone with a manual can verify.

^^I have a 13 manual and have no idea what this is nor have I ever experienced it. I can red line through the gears with deactivating anything, I just 99.9% turn of the advance track, that's it, that being said its not the first time I've heard of this. Op sounds like your getting "lock out" which will happen with that factory pos of a shifter bracket. It used to happen to me from second to third under load. A simple Barton shifter bracket fixed my issue 99.9%. I'll post a video of how crap this factory bracket is.

I'd started with just the bracket and would have done the mgw as well if the issue persisted, but the bracket cleaned it up real nice, I still will do the mgw in time but the bracket is definitely worth it! Hope this helps.

I also went with Royal purple but I'd have to agree, if you've done the bracket already, it might just be the synchro. : (

It's easier to drop a trans out and throw a new one in, than wait on someone to remove it, tear it down, and fix the synchro, then reinstall. Why complain?

I'd prefer a new trans over a rebuild anyway.

You said no warranty because of turbo!? Are they willing to replace it free of charge?

Hey G3, it would help a lot if you would put your mods in your sig. Like turbo, shifter bracket or anything else you have done so you wont get so many comments like you need a bracket, since you already have one.

G3, that sux (as if you didn't know) time to unload it?

side note: brackets/shifters/motor mounts help with blocking NOT grinding. Fluid MAY help with that.

Your not shifting correctly. Leave the line by hitting the resume button on the cruise control previously set at max speed. Then, use your foot to jam it in gear!

There is no skip shift on 14s.
A mgw, or equivilant, will fix this.
Suggest a mgw and a fluid change. Almost guarantee this will cure it.

It's the synchro that is going out I have the same thing happen with mine... it was probably loose from the factory and after some time of hard shifts it'll wear out prematurely...
