If you're talking about the tab that keeps the clamp center, no. If the clamp, yes.

I just did mine today. That piece was not an issue.
On some (on mine) there is a little tab that welded between the clamp and the original muffler. You can either cut it or in my case I just used a very large screw driver and pryed (broke) it free.

The Borla Touring. FedX delivered it at 2:30 PM and I had it done about 4 Pm. Pretty easy!
A bit of a struggle to get the drivers side to align with the rubber hangers. Just barely made it. Took an extra 5 min. Not sure if it had anything to do with the fact that it has the performance package.
Strange thing though, I believe the idle RPM dropped a 100 or so after the install.???

My car is only about 5 weeks old and I had no rust at all on my bolts.

It only took one of my friends and I about 45 minutes to install my pype bomb axle back. He did one side while I did the other and we knocked it out in no time. They lined up perfectly too straight from the box until I put my car in a ditch that is... but anyways if you just follow the directions on americanmuscle's website its an extremely simple install

nope, just threw the back end up on stands in my garage and got to wrenching. It would have been twice as ling if we weren't able to do both sides at the same time, but 2 people working, 1 on each side, really helped the efficiency aspect.
