All the time we went back and forth helping you with your non-functional side scoop because you couldn't figure out where it was supposed to go and if it looked right or not, and now you want to knock us because we drive autos?

Modern automatic transmissions are better than manuals, I'll explain this in case you don't look at the other thread. Much more consistent, never misses a shift, and shifts faster than any human ever could.

I can power shift as fast as an auto and exactly where I want in the powerband in any gear. But I did miss a shift in 2012 lol. Don't worry, I like autos just as much and really have nothing negative to say about them.

You have to expect some backlash when you started a thread the way you did. That was quite an opening statement/question Lol.

If your to young -You just don't know

Back in the golden days of drag racing the Factory drag cars such as the thunderbolt, Hemi under glass, and just about all of them were automatics.
Your quote is dumb:

[B]Well, maybe it is the way you worded it. [/B
It is really great we have a choice in our Mustangs. Both the automatic and manual are excellent transmissions. I think the answer to your question is: Some like to shift because it makes the driver feel more control of driving, Some like the automatic because they are more into drag racing then auto crossing. Some like myself have to have an automatic because of health issues. One transmission is not better then the other but they sure work different.
Ronnie

PS:
You will find that even Shelby himself put automatics in some of the great original "COBRA's"
They were not all Manual transmission cars.

I don't think the kit is out yet. That's their test mule (or one of a handful) that they've been using for their turbo kit testing.

ORIGINAL COBRAS = The small two seat car with the aluminum body that spanked all the Corvettes and Fast Italian cars.
I know the Boss 302's and GT 500 only come with manual transmissions.

Boy -Have I found something for you Manual guys

Check this out from Car & Driver
Save The Manuals - Shop Car and Driver

With all of the company's doing away with Manual transmissions they came up with this.
At least someone knows how important Manual transmissions are to a whole lot of people.
