I just plasti-dipped my chrome Roush tips today just to see what they'd look like... And wow!
I don't know why I taped off where the clamps go. ?

That looks really good! I wonder how the Plasti-Dip will hold up to the heat.

I hope it holds up well! I feared doing the tips for this reason. But I think it'll be just fine, if not I'll just peel it off lol.

In my experience, plastidip on wheels gets warm enough to make the plastidip look awful after awhile. I imagine exhaust tips will be similar or worse.
Get some high temp engine paint and spray that on there if the plastidip starts to look bad

Was there something wrong with the chrome finish, or did you just want them black?

Nothing wrong with the chrome, I just wanted to play with it and see what they would look like in black.

Sorry for late post, finally put them on... They look good, but they do pick up a good bit of dust (and freshly cut grass lol) but overall it looks good. I need to figure out why my left tip sits closer inward to the cutout?

You probably just need to loosen it again and adjust it more to the center where you'd like it to sit. Then tighten it back up.

Loosen the tip? Or the whole muffler? Lol, I'm not well versed in this stuff.

The whole muffler. You may need to loosen the tip again after you get it centered to make sure it still has the ROUSH centered correctly.

Oh nice! Did you remove the pony emblem before painting it or just tape around it?

So, how is it holding up? I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Thanks!

I plastidipped my Borla S-Type tips over a year ago. They've held up 100%. Haven't had to redo them, touch them up or anything.

I've had my exhaust tips plastidipped for about 5k miles now and it still looks perfect. Holds up to track days, highway driving, etc.

I wonder if the Plasti-Dip will still peel off easily after being heat-cured so to speak?
