Typical interior mods?

Hey everyone, was wondering what other interior mods are popular aside from shift knobs? If you guys have pics, please provide. Also, has anyone w a base v6 installed a rear back up camera or the front sensors offered by AM? If so, which do u prefer?

My very best interior mod is this:::::

These stickers that cover the stupid idiot looking warning crap on my sun visors were expensive from "BOB WHITE FORD" but well worth the cost involved to me. I wanted to puke every time I got into my Mustang before covering the ugly yellow warning stickers up. NOW, I LOVE LOOKING AT MY VISORS>

I had the original dash kit from AM with the 3M backing. I liked it and had I done it correctly would have kept it on. I just recently tore it all out and are going with the vinyl kit from AM instead. (If you get the 3M backed kit, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! It is a bear to get rid of all the glue and residue)

Past that I got the billet aluminum door handle replacements. Small touch but I like solid metal handles over the crappy bare plastic or "chrome" plastic ones.

Billet aluminum door vents, lock pins and LED swap-outs for all of my halogen bulbs made a difference.

Just a thought on those, aren't they upside down when you put down the visors though?

Yep

They would be upside down when the visors are down but I would not see them. The horse would be showing outside.
I rarely put the visors down anyway. When they are in position (UP) I love the looks of them compared to the Very,Very UGLY warning crap that Ford is compelled to put on their cars for stupid idiots that don't read them anyway.

I replaced the black plastic door pulls, put in the iDataLink center console dash kit, and replaced the plain black boots with yellow stitched boots. I also put "Mustang"-branded seat belt covers in the back seats for my kids' comfort. I have added illuminated door sill kicks but I haven't yet wired them up - since my car didn't come with the MyColor stuff I have to tap into the wires manually. Still, even with just the polished metal look they are better than the plain black stock kicks. Lastly, I put in bright LEDs for the map lights. Photos in my garage.

My best DIY interior mod is wrapping yellow hand towels around the seat pockets on the backs of the front seats. Adds a little color and keeps my kids' dirty feet/shoes off my seat backs! I tuck one end into the pocket and the other end in the crack between the top and bottom of the seat. Gotta take care when you have little kids!

Also, I guess the Covercraft Storage Pod counts as interior - it's the storage system that attaches to the trunk lid. Great mod for keeping your trunk organized.

The Raxiom LED map and license plate lights were the first thing I did.

I upgraded pretty much the whole interior, leather seats by Katskinz, leather wrap for the steering wheel by wheel trends, pioneer touch screen with a new bezel that relocated the AC control to the top with a digital readout, and a push button start by Silver horse. This is definitely the way to go taking a base model and turning it into your car. I can't wait to start the performance upgrades next week.

Black billet door handles, lock pull. Lock pocket, grant steering wheel, floor mats, pedal kit, painted the steering wheel spoke covers black, painted the center console black, dipped the chrome vent/gauge bezels, led map lights, hurst shift handle.

I've got pics in my garage/library. I think you can only see from the site, not the app.

Hello

I added Raxiom GPS. It took a while but AM got it to work properly by replacing the first unit. Very nice upgrade to the car.

Anyone replace this on the passenger dash? I was wanting to get a custom one made with my cars name on it. Didn't know if anyone found someone who makes custom decals for that?

One drawback.... Living in Houston or hotlanta in the summer... Car uncovered...

Might as well be grasping a griddle when opening the door with the billet handles.

LMR has a cost-effective alternative to the billet - aluminum brushed metal.
Mustang RH Inner Door Handle Back w/ Aluminum Handle (05-14) - LatemodelRestoration.com

I put those on my car and they look great, aren't plastic, and don't cost a fortune.

I looked up that push button start on Silver Horse: 2010-14 Mustang SHR Tru-Billet Illuminated Engine Start Button

I don't get it. It seems like you still have to put the key in? So what's the point?

It is really a waste of a good accessory plug

I once looked into that and when I saw you still had to put the key in to push the button to start the car I decided it was silly and stupid so I just did not buy it.

It's a "look" that it gives to the interior of the car, most of the time I don't even use it but it looks cool on the dash. Just like billet trim pieces don't "do" anything but upgrade the look of the interior. You can get real push button start but they are really expensive, I'd rather spend that kind of money upgrading the suspension or something like that.

I has been looking at something to do with the Chrome accents. I see your pics and the plastidip looks great. did you just tape it off and brush it on or pull the pieces and spray?
