2012 V6 Bumper Mods

Hey guys I have a 2012 v6 base and I know the v6 front bumper is unique and all but it's just not aggressive looking enough for me. I looked at the cervinis stalker bumper but those come unpainted and I don't want to really fool with getting it painted and fitted. So does anyone have any other ideas on spicing up the front bumper? I'm open to all of it because this v6 is just too happy looking to me

Did you really post the same thread 4 different times with different titles, with the same exact content with an added sentence or two different at the end?

Can always do the gt or roush bumper or Shelby conversion which is a little more expensive. I am upgrading my v6 to the gt and getting the gtcs lower and splitter you can fine the gt covers at new take off which already comes painted

My mustang evolution app kept giving me an alert saying, "Post error/Duplicate post error/ Not Posted" so I changed it up a little and tried it again only to find the same alert. After hitting post again, and getting the same result, I quit out of the app and restarted it and found 4 posts.. I tried to delete them but I couldn't. I'm sorry about that and yes I'm quite embarrassed.

No problem, saw your other post about it after, just assumed you spammed it 4 times to try and get the AM discount code by getting to 50 posts as fast as possible as some people annoyingly do on here. You can go on your internet browser to ME and log on that way and delete them if you're having trouble doing so on the app, it takes some getting used too, I prefer the website. When I'm on the go and interested in a thread, the app is awesome though.

What all would be involved in the Shelby conversion? And after a conversion like that would I be able to use GT grilles?

Keep your stock bumper and do the following...

Head light splitters
Upper and lower Roush grilles
Roush chin spoiler

I think that would give you a completely different look. I just got my chin spoiler yesterday, I can't wait to put it on.

Vision at night is worst than stock, you'll need to get an Hid kit

Will the splitters mess with visibility at all? And I didn't think they made roush grilles for the 2012 V6 model

2012 v6 headlight splitters are no longer for sale on AM. I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

They look nice! Quick question: how do you like your FR cut-and-clamp x-pipe? I have one about to go on this week.

Thanks, big difference going from the Grabber Blue to the SGM
The FRPP X-Pipe changes the sound, it will be a little deeper and smoothed out and a small bump in power. I also got a little more popping in the exhaust when shifting. I also saw a small increase in MPG.

I have the 2012 v6 too. Couple weeks ago I installed the Stillen chin spoiler. Here it is:

If money was not an issue, I think the bumper conversions look best. But it's also possible to make it look pretty aggressive while keeping the v6 bumper. The spoiler is a good start. I like what rinder above did with the black billet grille and smoked headlights combined with the Stillen spoiler! I might do something like that next!

Awesome that is what I was hoping for, but didn't want any rasp added to my exhaust. Hopefully the x pipe plus a CAI and a tune will give me a decent amount of gains, I have the 3.31 gears. I have Pype bombs so my exhaust is loud enough I'm hoping the CAI+mid pipe give it that perfect growl.

Sweet chin spoiler! I might go that route myself, I just don't like how the v6 "smiles" at everyone.

Okay just got an idea. This one is obviously painted black but I wonder if there would be a way to cut that bottom lip off and sand it smooth. Click image for larger version

That's because it a GT front bumper haha. Doing the GT bumper swap is the quickest way to open up more options for the front end.

That's a heck of a front end on that 3.7. How much did that cost altogether?

Check link that I posted. That's his thread where he describes in detail everything he did. He didn't fully disclose the total cost but said some of the costs. He did a heck of a job. I'm thinking down the line I'll copy him. Wish I saw his idea a month ago before I bought my Stillen spoiler.

My headlights are tinted. Looks great and very low cost. Installed HIDs so I could see at night.

Thanks! Similar to these:
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...771080&alt=web

I bought a pair of 4" and a pair of 6". They have 3M tape on the back but I used a tad of super glue as well. Wired them into the parking lights. I've only had to change out one of the 6" strips (before I went to MW) because some of the LEDs dimmed. Other than that, they've been on my car for over 2 years.

Fair warning. You'll probably catch a bit of flak for installing HIDs in the reflector housing. They aren't designed for it and scatter light, pissing off oncoming traffic.

They were super bright before the tint but dimmed down after. I have yet to have anyone flash their lights at me.

Plastidip your lower bumper and upper grille surround and it will give your v6 a very unique and mean look.
