V8--V6--4 cylinders

Who cares When you can get one of these.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/rgN8MOrss40?rel=0

I don't think the robot cares what engine is in your Mustang in a few years.
Ronnie

PS: at the 2012 S.E.M.A. show they had a Toyota drive it's self from L.A. to Vegas and into the convention hall and park exactly in the right place.
It won't be too long before all cars will be driving you around so you can text, eat, put on makeup, shave, or do smut with a friend. Won't life be great when you don't have to drive your Mustang????????

I had this argument with my dad,
Others don't see the joys of actually driving the car!

Perhaps, but I'm betting we will gripe about it when they start posting for us on ME!

Lol it even backed into the spot. Thats gangster.

Neat idea, but would i trust my car to park itself HELL to the NAWW. Sure it can be programmed to follow driving rules but can it be programmed to recognize idiots? I know it doesnt have instincts thats for sure.

If your car was driven by a robot and gets into an accident, are you still at fault?

And that will be the real "rub" with autonomous cars... Who's at fault?
Same thing with traffic violations.

You can bet that the army of lawyers employed by the automakers is pondering that very question.

I noticed a few things:
1- Slow. Holy crap does it drive slow. I'd be pissed off following it.
2- Most people tailgate your ***, especially if slow, not leaving room for you to pull forward and back in... What does it do in that circumstance?
3- How does it determine what is a parking space? What if the person next to you is over the line or parked incorrectly? If it parks in a handicapped spot, do you get a ticket? lol
4- How does it handle someone suddenly opening a car door near it or something running out in front of it? I see a lot of issues of a program controlling things in such a dynamic and imperfect world.

Sometimes I hate technology. Cars have to be driven, especially mustangs.

I think it already hit something

If you look very close at the beginning you will see some paint cans or something next to the curb. The audi is steering directly at whatever that is but they edited the mishap out of the footage.
You would think they would have moved that crap and shot it over again.
Ronnie

PS: The car that drove it's self from LA to Vegas had this on it's roof.

It was sponsored by Google.

My Love and I were in Vegas last year and saw the Google self driving car going down the strip...I for one admit to believing that in 10 yrs if the majority of cars are self driving the accident rate will go down sharply. Key word is believe...

If everyone has self driving cars, incidents would be almost non-existent. Thing is, that crap cost money. Then you have people like us that like driving cars, and driving fast ones at that. Such things would not satisfy our cravings!
