Hood heat vent

Has anyone installed a Cobra style hood vent (across the hood style) on a 3.7. If so has it been frenched in to look real. I am thinking it would look cool and be functional at the same time.

I have been trying to get rid of under hood heat that seems especially bad with a CAI while in city traffic. Sometimes the heat rises to 40-45 C. At speeds the normal temp is same as ambient but city traffic is a killer re intake air.

Should be able to just get the Gt500 hood from whatever year your car is. I believe the bumpers are all the same, just the inserts are different. 11-12 have one style and 13-14 have another though, so be careful what you're ordering.

I haven't seen a Deep Draw hood for sale except for GT500s. It MAY fit if yours is a 13-14, it will NOT if it is a 10-12. Period. You would need a GT500 front end conversion kit.

Shelby american has two of the hoods for sale, but I think you wanted the Deep Draw:

2010-2014 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Hood

Shelby 1000 Hood

The Shelby 1000 Hood is about as close to that as possible.
