Which direction to go?

Hey guys, I've got a 14' with a decent amount of exterior and performance upgrades. Now that I haven't bought anything in awhile, I have no direction as to what I would like to get next. It's an auto.

Engine/Performance/Exhaust

Strut Tower Brace
Airraid Intake
Bama Tune
Performance Pkg. Engine Cover
Roush Axle-Backs (Dipped Tips)

Exterior:

GT500 Spoiler
Tinted Quarter, Side markers
Tinted Third Brake Light
Tinted Windows 35%
Upper and lower black billet grilles
FP6 Pkg. (From Factory)
LED License Plate Lights
MMD Taillight Bezels (paint matched)
Dipped faux gas cap

So, with all this being said. What else can I, if there's anything else I'm able to do lol, do? Any info, or advice is appreciated!

You can put some headers and a new mid pipe on. That will give you a new sound and some more power. New wheels are also a big investment that can totally transform your car.

All of these suggestions are perfect! Wheels and tires may be awhile, but the rest of it is relatively easy. I think mid pipe, headers, and gears would be the next ones on the list. 😊 I also like the MPT idea too. Isn't that the one where it gives you that lopey idle that mimics cams?

The lope sound is an option you can add to the tune.. you don't need to get it (i think it costs a little extra). You can buy a regular performance tune from mpt that will make your car perform noticeably better than your current bama tune for $75. I think with an mpt tune and gears alone your car will feel like an absolute beast.

I agree. But here I come with the warranty voiding: won't changing the gears void it?

That ship has sailed. You voided your warranty the second you uploaded your bama tune.

Exactly which is why I haven't tuned changed gears or done many things on my 14 v6. I'm halfway into my warranty

If you have a good relationship with your dealer, they may overlook the fact that you tuned your car if there ever needed to be warranty work. My friend had his tuned. The dealer told him to switch it back to stock when he brought it in and that they wouldn't care. Got his warranty work done and on he goes with his day.

Every dealer is different, of course.

It doesn't matter what the dealership tells you as any major warranty needs to go through Ford. And you can bet that if you happen to have major engine or transmission failure the first thing that Ford corporate is going to ask for to honor the warranty is the PCM and even if it's been flashed back to stock it still leaves a trail that it's been altered. At that point Ford Corporate will deny the claim to the dealership and you can bet if it comes down to it the dealership isn't going to eat the 5+ grand for a new engine.

New head lights would be killer on your front end too. Do you have HIDs or halogen?

HIDs. Never really looked into aftermarket ones, I like the stock ones.

I like the Raxiom Halo's a lot better, they look a lot clean and no chance of burning out your headlights. OP has HIDs, so he would just put his in the Raxiom's.

Does Raxiom offer different colors for the halos?

No they are white/blue, but if you're good with lights you can rig them to be color changing

Good Question and I would shoot for a set of Ford Racing 3.73's-I've run both the 73's and 4.10's on a 2v and 3v and they definitely woke the car up almost to an alarming point. They'll get you off the line and into the sweet spot that much faster than what's on the car right now. Let me know if you have any questions and I'm here to help!

I think they're both big investments but some of the best parts to put on the 11+ cars!

Any tune would do this pending the relationship and how mod friendly the dealer is. Some dealers that sell Ford Racing parts and have them installed would instantly void your warranty as they're separate from Ford. There's a pretty silly gray area there if you ask me! I've seen customers say their dealer threatened to void their warranty on headlight bulbs.

They do not at this time but I'm sure it's something they would look into!

Ford has an upgrade suspension system that would lower you 1" on the front and back. Handles very good.

+ 1 on Alex. Changing ring & pinion will definitely wake up the car. Just changed mine to 4.10s and I am so happy with the result!

I think it's definitely the best mod that can be done with our cars. Even if you have a somewhat longer commute the 4.10's aren't that bad and if you're babying the gas it's liveable!

I agree! If I only knew, It should have been the #1 on my list.

Down side perhaps is gas mileage. I'm driving 150km on my way to work and another 150km back. @ 140 kph my rpm is at 3000. Before, it used to be 2000.

Nevertheless, I don't regret it! Happy with the power the car got in return.

100% Agree on this as well! I think I managed to find a sweet spot with my car where I can manage to get by without having to fill up every 5 days. They're definitely manageable on mine but I know it's like comparing apples to oranges from the 4.6 to 3.7!
