2012 Shifter- should I replace it?

Alright, so I have been doing a lot of reading, and it seems as though a lot of people are upgrading their shifters. What do you guys think about this? I think I am interested in doing this, but what shifter would you guys recommend? I see Barton mentioned often. Which Barton shifter is preferable?

@Bigshow14 that's what I have been seeing most people recommend. Which shifter do you think would be best from either Barton or Hurst? I was looking on AM and saw the Ford Racing Short Throw Shifter and Bracket- MT-82. What are your thoughts on that?

The Ford one looks nice. The problem with the Hurst is that it doesn't have the reverse lock out.

I really like the hurst but as stated with the reverse lock out not being an option I believe you will be satisfied with the Barton shifter and bracket combo

Thanks everyone! I think I have made my decision. I'll go with the Barton Ford Racing Combo. Being that I literally have no experience in mechanical department, do you think I should install this myself? How difficult is it and what would I need?
