Flowmaster series 10 vs Roush muffler

Flowmaster series 10 vs Roush muffler?

Anyone with experience with both?

Which one is louder?

I am currently using flowmaster series 10 (+ bbk LT headers, off road x pipe & TB) and boy it is loud! Loving it! but im still wondering what a roush with the same combo will sound like....

I have a stock mustang with roush axle backs and HOLY **** they are loud! Kinda high pitched at first but get deeper a tad bit after you drive with them on.
I love those things. When you press on it, they ROAR.

Id assume they'd sound eve better on yours with your setup.

If you want loud why waste your time on mufflers? Just cut your stock muffler flanges off and weld them to a resonator and add tips...it's what Pypes Bombs and MagnaFlow Competition axel backs are. Or you could go on ebay and get a couple straight through mufflers for cheep. They shouldn't muffle much sound but also they might keep rasp down a bit.

The eBay mufflers or the Pypes Bombs style?

I like my neighbors, and since I drive in the early mornings, I'll show some respect and stick with the GT500's!

Simply remove the idea of Super 10s from your brain man. They are the worst droning mufflers I've ever had in my life bar none

So far, no drone on my 10s

Problem solved. Met up with a guy with a roush exhaust (in a 2013 v6). tested it side by side with my FM 10s.

Conclusion:

- was a bit surprised with the roush. It is not that loud as people in every forum will always say. I was expecting more.

- Flowmaster Series 10 is louder. Both on idle and on WOT

- i had a Flowmaster super 44s and it is also louder than the roush

@bucko drove an RTR with gt500s and it sounds good. But what will it sound like on a v6?

Have you driven an RTR with the RTR exhaust out back? That's what I have as my exhaust, I want it louder in the higher RPM'S, but do not want to change my mid pipe.

Back when I was just stock minus flow 10s, the drone wasn't bad. Now it's terrible

Nice cars. What are we looking at here?

Also, did you put SHELBY letters and snakes on your V6 ?

Just a pic of the cars while I did the test of the roush & FM. I am converting the looks of the car to shelby. spoiler, rear valance, front bumper is pending.

If you convert it then do a swap and you can have a legal "kit car" then you could mod the crap out of it.
