0-60: Best time on your v6

We are modifying our cars either for looks or for performance. It will be great to know your best time and set up (mods) to help ourselves/others and make our cars better.

What is your best 0-60 on your v6?

E.g.

Best time: X.XX

Set up: ?????? ????? ????

(If u have track aps, a picture will help.. will be trying mine soon after I remove the the rev limiter)

I got 5.1 using my track app on my OBDII dongle to phone.
3.31 gears, Bama 93 race tune, Airaid CAI, FR x-pipe
Can't wait to see what headers and the MPT tune get me.

18' Pirelli p zero nero's
I believe those are the ones that come with the performance package. I really want to get new tires once I can sell my old set of wheels and head lights and CAI.... Then I will be getting an even better time with headers and a steeda CAI added in

Just curious.. why are u ditching your airaid for a steeda? I doubt there will be any performance gain so is it just because you like how the steeda looks?

My track apps is retarded ..

Sometime it will show my 0 - 60 in 2.6 seconds, other times it will show as high as 8 seconds. Even though I'm already shifting into 3rd at 80 MPH, it's still acquiring data.

If those are the tires that came on your GT rims they should be Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season. W speed rated with a treadwear rating of 400.

The Track Pack P Zeros are summer only Z rated and have a treadwear of 200. They have virtually no effective channeling grooves for rain and will wear out twice as fast as yours. They stick like glue and I'm sure would make a difference on 0-60 times.

I parked on a gravel parking lot last week, there were little rocks covering my tires. They are extremely soft sticky tires. I'll probably move to a Michelin Pilot AS after I toast these.

I have a set of both I use the summers for auto cross and is what I got the 5.1 with! I also got two 4.9's with them with my MPT tune today! I only use them when I autocross and the week leading up to the autocross to "break them in" a little before. Autocross REALLY kills your tires lol. I use the all season for my DD. I also have the stock Michelin energy savers for road trips. 3 sets of wheels lol. Hoping to sell the stock wheels before summer is up for some new DD wheels

Off road x pipe
One piece aluminum driveshaft
3:73 gears
J&M LCA's
17 factory tires.

Very interesting is. .. if a 3.7 is making an average of mid 4s to mid 5s, I now wonder what the 5.0s get?

I think the issue with the 5.0 is getting traction when nailing it from a dead stop. As we all know the 5.0 has far more torque than the 3.7 which is great as long as it can get traction. From what I have seen from even my local mustang club members that have 5.0's is the traction issues with the factory tires.

I raced a club member who had a 5.0 and beat him up to 100 mph because he couldn't get traction and my 3.7 doesn't have traction issues. I think 5.0's are easily running 0-60 in 4.2 to 4.5 seconds depending on the driver and if its manual or automatic.

I would say a decently bolt-on 3.7 mustang will average 4.9-5.1 and a full bolt on with tires 4.5-4.9. Can't wait to get my shortys on and be even faster! Then I'm "full bolt on" minus tb (not counting ported intake etc) count that as worked engine

I was at about 5.2 seconds with my mpt tune, steeda cai and automatic tranny but now that I went back to stock for a little (due to mechanical issues) it feels really slow and unresponsive The tune makes such a big difference in performance its crazy. I cant wait to get my tune back on.

Bone stock consistent 5.55 with 87 octane in 2014 PP manual.

Added CAI and 87S tune, which "increased" time to 5.70's.

Updated tune after datalogging and "increased" time to now 6.20's.
Yes, not too thrilled.

Back to stock and much better.

Still working on it, so will wait to see how things turn out before passing final judgment. Also confirmed poor tune performance with ET's from dragstrip test and tune. I am guessing it has something to do with possible changes in newest ECU in 2014's. Of course I won't see see any of the automatic transmission benefits with any tune.

12 V6 Auto mods in signature
0-60 best time is 4.67 done at 59 or 60C temp with new lightweight rims
4.75-4.9 is my avg time done on my old 18" AMR rims

I have some new lightweight rims that help me launch off the line quicker with some wheel spin but hardly any since its an auto with no high stall converter yet. My new 18" rims weigh 19.2lbs in the rear and 18.2lbs in the front. Compared to my old AMR rims which weighed around 24.5lbs in the rear and either 21.7 or 22lbs in the front cant remember which. Both sets of rims are 8" wide in front and 9" wide in the rear. With Continental DWS A/S tires.

I have yet to test my MPT 97/100 tune runs and only thing added since those runs above is Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm and Prothane Motor Mounts.
