Had mine put on yesterday and I love them. I do however have full exhaust from headers back, cats removed and 4 resonators. So I can't comment on how they would sound on a stock system with cats. Sorry.
For me they are a little louder at idle, can hear them at cruise and sound great at wot. I didn't have any real rasp but again I have 4 resoantors. But no drone what so ever.

I paid $300/shipped from AM with 6% discount and paid $65 to swap the mufflers on to my stock axle back piping.

Besides the size of the inlet piping size what's the difference between the gt v6 manual mufflers and the single tip gt500 mufflers. They look very similar

4 resonators? I thought there were only 2 little ones, between cats and mid pipes. Are the other 2 hidden somewhere between manifold and cats?

Why not just get dual tips installed?

No, I added 2 more. 2 before H pipe, 2 after. I originally left 2 on when I went catless with the rest of the setup but it still had raspiness in it. Adding the additional 2 resonators took care of it.

On the outside they are almost identical, its the internal baffeling thats different. The GT is baffled more to make it more tame vs the GT500 being slightly more open.

The GT500's are heavier than the stock V6 axle back mufflers.

I've had mine on for over a year now. I like them; sound is nice, not loud, but good idle, and nice rumble. Everything else exhaust wise is stock on my 2011 3.7 V6.

Be aware that a muffler shop will need to cut off the pipe from your stock V6 mufflers and weld them onto the GT500 mufflers; this is because the V6 muffler pipe that connects to the pipe leading back to the axle is smaller in diameter than the V8's (that the GT500's are from). be sure to keep your stock V6 mufflers until this is done; don't give them away (not that you'll have anyone jumping off their seats for them!).

What size resonators did you go with? I've gt500 mufflers too, but rest of my exhaust is stock.. except stock resonators deletes. Which did make it a little tiny bit louder. But I'm craving more, without going obnoxiously loud sounding like a 4 banger.. aka magnaflow competitions I had lol

How loud is your idle though?does it sound like an old school muscle car or something?

Why not try the MagnaFlow Streets? Lighter than the stock mufflers but give a slight boost to overall sound and deep tone
